Thread: Cyborg Ranged Arms, question

Hi all,
I have both +5 and +10 cyborg ranged arms, and they don't seem to give me the +15m increased range.
I'm using a Corellian Destroyer which says its a rifle.
Do all commando weapons suffer the same problem?
I know the "special heavy weapons" don't apply to the ranged arms mod.

I have the +10 and +5 meter arms aswell. With a 65 meter range weapon I can attack at 80 meters. The target is still listed as out of range but I am able to fire just the same. Give it a shot dont let the red out of range thing throw you.

I know the arms work, as thay add the +15m to every other weapon that I've used. Just not commando cert'd ones.
I've tried it with "The Void" rocket launcher now as well.
Starnick, have you encoutered the ranged arm problem with commando cert'd weapons, that are not "special heavy weapons"?

I used the double ranged arm combo with the proton rifle and it worked out great. It still said that I was out of range but I could shoot the target just the same. I have not tried it with any other weapons. I can't imagine why you would want to as the Proton is the only Commando weapon that has a 65m range atm.

I could use the proton rifle at 80m and the RL at 79m with both arms on, despite the "out of range" line above their heads, also the acid rifle worked at 80m. Not sure about the other ones cept for the PFT and FT not getting an increase ( so annoying
)
Also if I was above the max range of the RL then when ever the kd landed the critter/NPC wouldnt use kd recover and would just lay there... that lead to much soloing
but that was pre-pub24 so I dont know if it still works with all the AI changes as I havent been on much recently. Also sometimes an NPC wouldnt react to getting shot at when I was around 75m+, either they would just stand their being dumb and not shooting
or would "teleport" to exactly where I was standing and would then stand their being dumb and not shooting
