What is the best way for a commando to make money?

I am doing sharnaff missions around Coroneta, but I would have to do alot before i can afford the composite armour i wish to buy.

Are there better missions to tackle? Where?

The explorer missions pay handsomely, but I would have to kill 45 Humbaba!!! That would take longer than a few Sharnaffs....oh woe is me, please help.

How much $$ are you making solo against the sharnaff missions?

Picket Plains Walkers are usually 500m from almost any outpost on Dantooine and pay about $9500 each, not bad for solo and no disease. -they will group aggro when attacked, be sure to flame each one, then they drop like flies after 10-20 seconds.

There are 3 really good methods:

Team up with a Master TKA/CH and run cash missions on Lok/Endor/Dath. 9-12k each mission after it's divided, 4 missions per trip, each run about 20-30 minutes. Consistent and very fun, but can be frustrating if you don't have friends.

Sell your lots - Ask 5-10k per week to plop down a harvester for someone else. Since all a Commando needs is his guns, this is a reliable way to keep a steady stream of income. Minimally annoying as once in awhile they'll want you to move the harvester.

Save up for a few harvesters - After getting your first 120k, buy a couple of high-end medium harvesters/generators and energy to run them. Downside is you have to collect the materials yourself. A good rule of thumb. Power runs about 1.5-2 credits per unit of power, most metals (even crap) run 3 cpu. Finding a buyer is easy, just look for weapon/armor/architect on your server and send them an email saying 'Selling ore' with a list of what you have. Most will buy in bulk so after a week or two, you can dump 100k of a resource in their lap for 300k. An almost gauranteeed 3cpu every two weeks will make composite prices seem reasonable. Some of those you trade goods with will offer special pricing as you're gathering resources for them.

I'm doing the 'harvesters' method, myself... but fortunately everything I make goes to my guild... but I never lack for someone to run missions on Endor with...

Force Unsensitives - Turning 300k credits into new armor that won't blow your HAM is a real trick.

Vinceroix - I like the idea of buying a harvester.

What do you suggest I harvest?

How do i know where to put it?

You really want to know the best way...are you sure you can handle it...lol

Well, it might not be the most approved of way, but I think it's a method made for us...

Go take out the big game with great loot...for me, the current bet is Aakuan's...they drop nice Armor Attachments and occasionally a +5 Ranged Defense ring (each person can wear 2 of these under armor gloves)...I've got tons of +5 Skill enhancements...Just collect them up, then auction them off on the Trade Forums...I've got a couple of auctions going right now, and for the rings alone they are over 400K each...

I know most people don't approve of making credits outside of game, but we are meant to hunt big game...the loot is our trophey...and it seems like a cool thing to make credits via my hard work taking down the big critters...

I ran the Aakuan Cave about 11 times and came up with about 3 rings and a large mess attachments (as well as some +10 enhanced clothing)...you're probably wondering why I'm giving away this secret...well, just like the original post asked "What's the best way for a commando to make money?"...Simple, do what we are made to do...go get what other's are unable to get on their own...

Thoughts or Flames?

well i dunno how fast you guys are making money but here's how i do it.

1. pick up smuggler and slicing 1

2. find a nice queit faction base

3. slice those terminals, you can get missions for about 10.2k which consist of 3 stormtroopers and a base.

doing this i can make around 100 to about 200k per hour depending on the luck of the slices.

being that im a rebel, and i like buying faction bases, this is what I do for money:

lots and lots of rebel missions. 5-6k per Storm Trooper/Comp Force Trooper camp. If you go to Rori the missions are 300-1000m away from the rebel outpost.

inone days time i grinded out 500,000 credits (plus loot) and 10,000 faction points. As the above post suggested, then you can either sell the faction, or buy faction items and sell those if you dont want to use them for yourself.

rebel missions are all very easy for a master with his witts about him, and all of them are solo-able up to a difficulty of 75-100, then things get interesting, and help may be in order.

I've been running imp bounty hunter camp missions for 5000 each for the past couple days. The payout isn't fantastic, but they give decent XP, and fall pretty easily. I haven't done a credits/hr study on it, but if you need FPs, grind away on easy faction missions and kill two (maybe 3) birds with one stone.

This is what I've done. It helps a lot especially when you're in a big group.

get a vehicle, get imperial or rebel missions depends you are that pays 8,3k. 1 min to travel to missions, 1min to go back 2 mins to kill every mission. In 5 mins max you come back with 17k. And by the way you make good bunch of fps.

i made lots of money by harvesting and taking hunting missions.

that avian meat all medic and bio engineers love to buy at high prices especially. find a planet with that meat, take the hunting missions, go out and torch them by the dozen (i remember the peko peko's dropping like 990q meat a while back.. ah you could smell the fried chicken from kadaara to moenia)

you can also find a spot of rare minerals and just put your 10 lots of medium harvesters there. the money cost in upkeep is minimal (you can upkeep them for 2 weeks with the money you make in 1 hour of doing missions)... but give you around a 500% profit when you sell the minerals out.

when i dropped my scout skills i still kept harvesting.. but i instead gathered metals that wepsmiths needed to make my favourity grenades (thermals and cryobans). so when i go to a wepsmith I can just ask him for a schematic to be made with my stuff and i crank them out in my factory.

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'
