Thread: Hunting Solo?
Commando Guide V 2.0 "I love the smell of napalm" its the first thread on the commando forums, check it out, it should be useful. And also Rori isnt bad, hunt the leviasquills. One other thing, its easier to use the LP until you get to at least Flame Spec 3 because you can barely hit anything right now. If you have a CH friend have him/her use their pets to tank Ravenous Tortons on Rori, they give good xp.
Hope that helped. Good Luck.
I live on Dantooine and am Master Commando so I am not sure how easy this will be as you move up the tree.
I get either Voritor, Piket or Huurton missions and then tackle them as follows:
- Equip your flamethrower
- Pick closest creature and get 55-60m from it
- /kneel
- /attack
- You'll get a good 3 or more shots in before the creature charges... as it charges around when it gets to 20-25m you can hit your first special (it will take a sec so they will be in range when it hits).
- /flameCone2 (or /flameCone1 if you only have that)
- /flameSingle2 ( or /flameSingle1 if you only have that)
- I then tab to any other creatures that aggroed and hit them with the same 1-2 special combo
Doing this lately with a nice set of Ubese andBuffsI am able to take on 4-5 Pikets all at the same time and come out ok. If you are not buffed, stick to Huurtons or Voritors (they come in 2s or 3s and you should have no problem with them). The key is to start that attack from 55-60m out so you get a good 3 or 4 shots in before they even know where you are.
Umm... if he's got flamecone2, he's already a Master Commando...
You've got to be careful with your flamethrower early on. The delays on the specials are pretty gruesome. That said, I would definitely go up the flame tree first, heavy support weapons next, then HAR. The Field Tactics tree should take care of itself.
If you need more Combat exp towards the end, just get your hands on a crate of grenades, and use them to take out lairs for pure (+10%) combat experience.
Most of all, have fun with Commando. ![]()
