First off...most people who know me, know that I 100% support dabblers...we are all technically dabblers after all...
Anyway...I'm curious on something...mainly if you dabble just the flame tree, how do you use the FT?
Do you use it as a primary weapon, a close combat weapon, or just to place a Flame DoT when and if your target is within 16m?
Also, as a FT Dabbler, what do you consider your primary weapon of choice?
The main reason I ask is if you use the FT to mainly put DoTs on your targets, then speed and accuracy is not a huge issue (they come into play mainly for just using the FT as a primary weapon)...+20 or +30(to be granted at Novice Commando) may be plenty of each to keep you using the FT as you are accustomed too...
If that sounds reasonable, we could then take all the current Flame Tree speed and accuracy mdos and move them over to the Field Tactics tree...this way, those who progress to at least 2 trees of Commando would be able to say they are noticable superior with the Commando Weapon (instead of folks whining that a dabbler is as good as a Master Commando with the FT)...It's kind of like one of us getting one tree of Pistoleer...we'd have cool specials, but not the accuracy and speed of other Pistoleers who progress farther...It pretty much brings us in line with other Ranged professions that keep their skill mods outside the tree that thier prize specials are in...
If you hate or love this idea...please post your thoughts and responses to my questions above...I'm just trying to figure out if this is a valid win-win solution for us all...Dabblers would still have a heavy duty weapon with a powerful DoT....and Non-Dabblers would have the superiority of that weapon they are after...
