Thread: Nerf Poll
Ok, time for a reality check. Polls don't work. Giving an opinion to Devs leads to nerfs. Giving suggestions in a "what should the Commando be" thread leads to a nerf. Sending PM's to the current Dev leads to a nerf. Crying, whining, and pitching fits about how unfair everyone is to the commando leads to the nerf.
I was a Master Commando for quite a while before being lead into the wilderness by my holos. I have seen the plight of many, many of the other professions. Their suffering is NOTHING compared to that of the commando and yes.....making a point of other skill trees suffering brings the commando a nerf ( ie; commando concern for the old melee damage to the rifleman thing brought the 2.5x nerf. The old guard commandos know of what I speak).
Buckle up boys or pucker up. Either get smart and move on or shutup and deal. We have ZERO influence on the DEVS.IF you are a hard core Commando you are the ruler of PVE not PVP...........deal with it. Even then you better make sure you have tons of xps in one or more of the Elite "brawler" lines.
My advise is if you like Commando then tell everyone how much you like it and how you worked your way around the current set of nerfs. IF it is making your unhappy get over it and move on anddo something fun.
TH told all of us that the entire combat system was being revamped and that major changes were in the works. I took that as did many others that that meant Commando was on the top of the hit list and would likely suffer the most from the changes. If you are in SWG for the long haul now might me a good time to try on some other skills before you blow a gasket or have a anureism worring about how the Devs are gonna screw commando up 'cuz baby you ain't seen nothin' yet.
If you watch those posts...the people who want us NERF'd are people who have never played Commando...Those peopel who have played Commando, even for a short time and then moved on, typically support us as they know what we deal with, our restrictions, and just how screwed up our profession is...
I usually give those NERF posts about as much respect as they deserve...I ignore the majority of them...but the one's full of inaccuracies, false claims, and utter made up nonsense are the ones I respond to with the real facts...
