This is a question for those of you have are veteran commandos or who have mastered it recently.

In your experiences what is better a faster flamethrower with okay damage or a slower flamethrower with high damage??

I just bought one of each (nearly in debt because of that) and I was wondering which one I should use?

So far I've been using the fast but okay for mobs and the slow but high for one on one and lairs.

Here are the stats on my babies:

Fast but okay damage something like

3.5s

830-850 max damage

Slow but deadly

5.1s

1037 max damage

Which would you use?

I only have flamethrowers I, but I use one that has okay damage (436 and 848 i believe), and a 3.something attack speed...and let me tell you, this thing is badass, you need faster attack speed when starting out since ur accuracy sucks.

Then again I'm not a master commando or grenadeer, so I dunno if it's good in the long run.

I'm at flame III and I use /aim a lot so its sort of a toss up as to which one I should use. I was hopen someone who went through a similar problem would help out.

I prefer the faster speed rather than the higher damage. If something manages to deflect or evade my shot I get another shot at it again that much faster with the low speed flamethrower. My current weapon of choice is a 3.0 speed and 438-849 dmg. I find it to be extremely effective.

I'm not even a commando yet, but I'd say that the faster speed would be better. You can over time, match and surpass the damage done by the slower one, plus counting in misses, you get a quicker rebound shot rather than dying waiting for the next turn. But what do I know

I'd suggest the speed.

I've been testing all day and the speed is better. Thanks for the help guys, you were all right. I'll keep my high damage as a lair tapper and backup.
