This list absolutely reflect our stats,needs,issues and other stuff we like to change,keep,increase,etc.
Im quite new to this forum,but ive read a lot of ur threads !
Ur (i think i speak for all the other 'mmandos..) really one of the best Correspontents in swg.
Perfect List, nothin to change.
but ive got a prob since i zapped thru this forums.
WHAT is a commando ?????
2 choices here:
a Rambo-like heavy infantry soldier (thats what i think is the role of a 'mmando in swg)
or more like an Anti-Terror-Special Troop.
Well we have heavy weapons, but on the other hand some want to add "stealthness".....
i think this doesnt fit, although i LOVE (!!!!!!!!!!!) the idea of explosive-packs !!!!!!!
so do we want more Stealthness or more firepower/defense ..... ?
like as u or some1 said (sry donno who ^^)....commandos r the "pioneers", the guys who storming the front.
and now add stealthness ? hmm...
This is confusing me a lill bit.

PS: oh jeah one thing: change that: CHEF should be reached AFTER Master commando

Very nice summary, Garvin. If they fix even half the issues you listed, I'd be ecstatic. Keep up the friggin' good work!

Commando was the first class i ever mastered. It was a lot of fun to burninate things, but after 8 months as a TKM/Commando i realized that i was wasting my skill points on the commando end of things. dumped it and went strait melee. i gotta say that i'm getting pretty damn tired of watching myself chew up commandos, and other ranged classes. and yes, i'm a melee character griping about myself here. I can take out an MBH, no problem. Master COmmando = PvP rating boost. i WANT to see this go through. if Commando becomes viable, i'll toss my sharp objects on the ground take an enourmous ***edit*** on them. GET THEM TO FIX THIS GARVIN!!!!! in the name of all things that are holy and all the things that aren't MAKE THEM FIX THIS!

I mainly like to see commandos more durable in fights with out needing to pick up a 2nd master just to fill in the gaps needed to make it function semi decent. But from what I seen everything looks good in the write up.

If we want a grenade that does status effects maybe a Concussion Grenade woudl be good? Causes a shock wave that KDs, Dizzies and Stuns. Maybe add Blind in there and call it a Flash Grenade?

Hell I'd love it if they gave us girls that we could call from our datapad and converse with, be friends, drink with, etc...
Atleast if they can't do the combat part right, give us some girls! (Commando's always get the ladies... just watch Apocalypse Now :smileytongue

ok im getting really sick of people just wanting stupid revamps to make professions "cooler". Commando needs to be BETTER not cooler. for instance a rifleman threadi read once was like....oh, we're snipers. we should be like the cool snipers in the army. cool. cool. cool. When we say things like tha twe make devs want us to shut up! all we need is AP, better speed, better nades and HAR change. thats a minimal amount of changes we need compared to other professions.

im new to commando...but here is my idea...
-Add a grenade launcher cert at field tactics 3
-load any type of grenade. range and speed are launcher based, damage is 'nade based.
-Add states to grenades
-kd would be a really obvious one..it IS a grenade going off at your feet after all, dizzy as well would make easy sense
-Completely replace the HAR with the DXR-6c HeavyDisruptor Rifle. This rifle, based on the same technology that the rifle and carbine versions are, would be acid weapons,schematics to be looted just like the other.
-medium armor pierce
-extremely fast rate of fire
-moderately low damage
-high HAM cost
-uses carbine specials, as well as extra specials granted in tree. (useful weapon for a carbineer dabbling in commando)
-Make the rocket launchers static launchers with reloadable cartiges like everyone else said.
-Make the flamer either faster, or make the DOT stronger
-Gimme some defense!Come on? Is this a joke?
-If its not, at least give commandoes some special armor or something....we cant absorb damage and we cant run from it cause of the horrible terrain negotiation we get...we have to be able to do one or the other!
-Master Commando
-MORE SPEED!A flamer dabbler shouldnt get the same speed flamer as a master. Drop maybe another 10 or 15 in there! maybe even the +20 riflemen get! Give a reason for a flame lover to master.

As a female commando i hate this idea...get a stormtrooper or rebel trooper to talk to! My ingame wife would have a cow if I showed up with NPC girls trailing after me! I know I would when she did, seeing as she is also a commando..

It meanws you're bringing up a very old post 
Only reason why this is still stickied is because...its still very accurate of commando...
This, will hopefully be replaced by May 
Btw, this applies to most of the old stickies...once the CU comes, we'll have a lot of work to do with a new guide and new threads like this...stay tuned.

When I first created this post, besides being part of a request from the Devs to collect together all our main issues, likes/dislikes, breakdown, etc, I also thought it would be interesting to compare it directly to the Post-CU Commando...I'm still looking forward to that (just thought we'd be there by now
