Commando was the first profession i aimed for. I was amazed by the look of, more than the damage of Flamethrowers. I decided i was going commando. For many weeks I slaved unbuffed, 50% armor running missions from coronet back in the days of walking, because I thought that commandos were cool. Then, one day i achieved FT 4. I went up to another Stormtrooper, sicked my pet upon him, and Toasted his white armor into something that smelt like burnt Cardboard. One hit. I was amazed. Then came the first Chirstmas. I got a holocron. It said Master commando. I was joyed. I Started running missions from my player city then, loved the shorter gallop, and about a month later, mostly unbuffed, i hit master. I kept it for as long as i could hold on to, for i wanted Jedi also. I was sad when i had to finally give it up. I continued my holo grind.
Now, i am back commando and loving every moment of it. I wish that my second character was my Jedi character, so that i could keep myself at Master commando and burninate everything that stands in my path. but since i cannot, i will make my alt my commando!!!!!
So, I love commando, and i do not consider it broken or anything. I am here for commando for the sake (sp?) of lighting the atmosphere with burned corpses.

Ive been a commando since august, Love it, wouldn't lose it for the world!! I'm not quite Master yet (god yes i know i HAVE been grinding it since august, ive bene busy ok?) I'll easily have master by the CU so I qualify 
/cheers to the profession with the best community in SWG!! The posts here are always great, keep it up chaps or I wont have anything to read at lunch times at work!

I have been a commando for over a year. I love the profession and couldnt imagine playing any other. My hope for the CURB is for them not only to make our profession worth while, but for Ranged professions in general more usefull. Melee professions seem to be vastly superior to the ranged professions. This is starwars, ranged professions rule the starwars world (well besides jedi).

at launch, i created a master ranger, few months after that mastered commando, got a silly blue cube that told me to master tailor, started that, dropped it like a hot potatoe and remastered commando, and this is where i still am.

I see your point but what of those of us who regrettably left Commando to pursue someother proffessions for something to do until the CU is actually fruition. Are we not "real commandos?" Yes I admit we are not as dedicated to continue to hold on to commando in its current state but you better believe when the armor resists come down the Kryat Flamer is coming off the wall.

Refuses to give up Commando to follow the Jedi path. Give up Master Commando to become a Master Dancer? I just don't think so.
