Dont apologize for complaining as it is usually the only way to properly obtain any sort of attention. Just like the temper trantrum and doing bad things that are disruptive will get you attention. People say it isn't neccessary but if you arent being listened to its neccessary to scream and insult as that will cause people to respond be it negative or positive (most likely negative, but in this case as it is just a message board it would most likely be positive) . I understand many people will say this is childish and that you have to be "proper" but thats not how our society seems to be working.

Once I enjoyed this game. Now I find myself coming back to it even though it is not what it once was. True massocist behavior.

Now if someone could only answer the question which class gets the beam rifle...

No one seems to have a certification for it currently.

This is good news indeed.

Which of the weapons will still be charged though?
all of the ones that are now?

*thoughtfull* (been that a fair while today)
well, as long as the charged weapons don't cost too much to get, there shouldn't be a problem... I'm happy.

now here's hoping they let us port a character to the Test Center.
I wouldn't mind helping check these changes out.

cheers,

I think the Devs have finally realized that everyone, notjust you guys, are upset at the way Commandos have been neglected, and members of every profession are watching this board to see how quickly they fix things. You guys deserve some additional attention. I have lost count atthe number of times I've read "At least we're not as screwed as the commandos...".

This is great, Thank You Devs.

Just one Issue I have with Commando, The Launcher Pistol.

Atm this uses pistol specials which I'm sure you are aware of, as this is intended to be our main weapon it forces us to also be Pistoleers to be good with it, atm I only have the Master Marksman Pistol Specials the max dmg I can perform is 600.

Please take off the Pistol Specials and create new specials in the Commando tree, or make Heavy Weapon Specials and stick them in the Heavy Weapon Support tree. These heavy weapon specials could be used for all weapons expect Grenades, Rocket Launchers, Flamethrowers and Acid Rifles, as those weapons already have their own specials or don't need specials.

Thanx for the work on Commando

yeah i've seen alot too. but its good to get some attention, i've noticed alot more classes are becoming friendly instead of aggressive with eachother (how it should be, Friends not foes), and its good to see people paying attention to whats happening to us, and i hope if this fixes us, i hope you all get fixed too, hehe only One thing is worse than being a commando.. Being gimped down to our level when we are fixed, hehe

Here's my favorite quote of that type. From this thread I present:

"You're not a Commando, Commandos can't even beat a chef"

Interesting! It was 1 the first time I looked at it.

I'm a newbie and have been waffling about going Commando b/c of how broken it was, according to this forum. Holocron's new post has rejuvinated my desire to continue this career path.

So, I say once again:

Grenades:

  • Increased damage for all grenades (including light fragmentation)
  • Slowed down grenades (their attack speeds were not in the correct format)
  • Removed specific resources requirements from draft schematics

What is this increase in damage? 5 pts or 500 pts? One of the major problems on a 400 pt max damage grenade is that the minimum can still be just 50 pts.

Since they allready take somewhere near 8 seconds to recover from, does this mean they'll take 16 seconds now?

What about the insane 5m blast radius?

C22 Frag ( Both types), Glop, and,Cryoban don't require named resources. So this is just the higher end grenades that no longer require specific materials?

What about the optional sub assys that were removed from the game? What do Grenade experementation skill enhancers do now?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Since all the disposable weapons no longer will require specific resources, is this a deviation from the 'rare because they do so much damage' theory now?

DX2 pistols are AP=light acid damage. HAR is AP=none acid damage. When is someone going to listen to this?

LLC is AP=1 elect damage. LBC is AP=1 elect damage. Why do BHs have a weapon as good as Commando that can use special attacks whereas the LBC is disposable w/o any attacks? When is someone going to listen to this?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Since there is no 'vision' I can't really disagree with what Commandos are supposed to do. But I still think they're for taking down heavy AC targets. For that Commandos need AP rated weapons. Not just high damage weapons. If damage is too high vs AC = 0 or AC = 1 ( people ) make the HW work against armor in -reverse- to do high damage to AC = 3 and a pittance to AC = 0. Or so that disposable weapons only work on things like turrets, tanks, and, the like.

BTW, DX2 pistols don't seem to do any additional damage to AC = 0 targets. I can do more damage using my Scout Blaster still.
