Thread: How to tell if your a real commando or a bandwagon jumper

I'm a relatively new commando within the last month. I'm at 2/3/4/0 and I'm still slugging away for the prestigious title of Master Commando. Despite the utter lack of defenses to this elite profession I still want the Master status.


I rarely group with others. Usually it's at Dathomir and a Commando/TKA character is appreciated there for a hunting party. However my last group together I had my title off (usually Shock Trooper or Gaurdsman) at Yavin IV. We hit one of those temples with some big spiders. I pulled out my Flamethrower and just doing normal shots from 30m out since the spiders were in a pit. One of the other players said,"Please, knock it off with all the smoke already!" Excuse me, I believe I was doing 800-1k damage with my normal shots! I was doing all the work, suck it up!

Yes, I am a real commando - that was my goal from day 1 when SWG went live and I lived through (and died more often) through most of what was talked about above


Two things I want to add to the REAL commando list.


1) Borrowing money so you could buy the Flamethrower when they first became available, only to be disappointed at how crappy they were...... "I paid this much F&$#*&(% money for this?" Then to have the weapon fix come in later and you could get them for ten times less the amount and they were easily ten times as deadly.


2) I made Master Commando when there were maybe 2 - 3 other Master Commandoes on the server (Naritus) and people would be running by and just gawk at me..... They usually would say something like...... "Wow.... a Master Commando....." Never knew if it was pity or awe.

You're a real commando if you've ever used ur LP in squill cave and crashed the server
