I believe the communuity needs someone who can call a duck a duck and not say it was misunderstood swan, however all I here is patting SOE on the back for taking 7 months to get the CU out Oct ---> May. 7 months for something that was suppose to go to ALPHA testing within "a few weeks" UNbelievable.
I've had no problem calling a duck a duck...I've ranted and flamed SOE plenty in the past and recently for their decissions...but at the same time, I also (unfortunately) know more then you do about what's really going on...You can come up with all the theories you want...make all the claims you want...say that anyone has been "used and abused" that you want...but that still doesn't beat the truth...What is the definition of a "conspriacty theory"? I'm not trying to discredit anyone...I'm just trying to point out that you can come up with all the theories you want...the truth is out there and some folks know it...SOE just needs to do a better job in making sure that everyone knows the truth...I've tried to subtly tell you all the truth (so has Starnick), but you just keep to your theories unwilling to bend...
There is a valid reason for the last delay...something that many of use saw coming and tried to warn them about, but it happened anyway and the delay was the result. But in this case, delaying things to make that fix is important. It's because of that delay that testing didn't start in January...and it's because of this delay that it's likely the timing of the Expansion release fits the CU release date.
If you want me to stop saying that people "may" be misunderstanding things then I will...I'll say it like it is...You are wrong...100% wrong...you couldn't be MORE wrong...everything you are saying is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY wrong...I know it...everyone else who has access to the info knows it....make all the theories you want...it won't make right...you can keep denying it, but you'll still be wrong...I've tried to say it politely, but that may have been the wrong direction to take...so from now on I'll just say it like it is...and your theory is WRONG...
This doesn't mean I'm happy about the real reasons...not at all...but I do understand them...Theories like yours are one of the biggest reasons I've pretty much fought, ranted and flamed everyday to try and get the communication lines improved and more open...if they were, you'd KNOW you are wrong and likely feel foolish...When the NDA is finally lifted and we can talk about this stuff, we'll likely revisit these "theories" and laugh...I just hope your still playing as I sense you are getting a bit over stressed and likely need a break...

There you go folks look at the ad flyer by Lucas the CU (called the new combat system) advertised right in there. Whats the name of it Episode 3: Rage of The Wookies I'm laughing myself to tears. They would never delay the CU for marketing reason!!

And I'll sticky to my theory that the CU testing could start "any day now"...and I'll also sticky to my goal of keeping people informed as to reasons why it's not started yet (as much as I can say)...And I'll keep sticking to my "any day now" predictions which I've always said were based on my own personal opinion and not anything the Devs have said (but also via rumblings I've heard).
As for marketing the CU in conjunction with Episode 3...you are kidding right? Of course they will...it makes perfect sense to do that (something I even stated in a past public post as May kept getting closer)...I don't believe it was their original plan to market the CU in that way (remembering that the CU use to be a much smaller less impacting change that has grown out of control)...I do believe it was ALWAYS the plan to market the next expansion with the new movie...and since the CU has been delayed so far and now being released in conjunction with Episode 3, of course they are going to market them together...anyone who doesn't think that would be plain silly...I'd do it if I was in charge of SOE (and I'd fire anyone who didn't support that idea)...

- Sometime, likely around a year from now, SOE will come out with an expansion that has something to do with Episode V (likely Hoth).
- When Episode III releases on DvD, SOE will tie some ingame change to it
- any fixes that are made aroundthat timewere of course purposefully delayed to coincide with the release date as an obviousmarketing ploy.
- There will be yet more delays of other ingame fixes, revamps, etc. that will be tieable to other releases that appear to make it look purposeful because we all know that marketing departments are evil like that.
- The GCW revamp will take longer then original hoped
And experience the all new combat system featuring new weapons, new armor, new effects and an all new user-interface to make combat even more engaging and fun!

LOL yeah thats why I said just so I could throw a conspiracy out there. Yeah there you go. If they came out tomorrow and said we delayed it so we could market in a better time window you would still say that was not the case. I don't why it is that you are so bound and determine to prove me wrong but there you go... its releasing in May and Its being marketed in conjunction with Episode 3. Thats what I have said for months was flamed for saying it,told no way it would happen, they wouldn't do that to many game title coming out to compete with blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda. Its all coincidence.
