i'm never going to become a rebel
Which is why I've halted grinding my character on Starsider until the results of this poll are final. I'd rather not waste the time if the decision is going to bemadethat the guild to be all Rebel.

Rebel is basicly there, but I think the best idea would be like I said. We, as a guild, fight for the rebels, but we allow all factions. If you're imp, ya just dont PVP with the guild. But I will seriously never go imp till I die because of what they have done to the Mandalorian Homeworld. Damn imps.

hhmmm maybe..if we're to be mercs we go ahead and include both factions. The rebel half will fight for rebels (and credits) and the imperial side will hire out to imperials (even more credits). Of course there could be the case where we end up fighting ourselves, but why should that matter? We're all Commandos and a good fight is a good fight any way you spin it. Those you want to try the balancing act of switching faction can go neutral and do just that! It's brilliant I tell you! Two factions in one guild, only Commandos can be so bold and insane!

I agree.
So we may end up facing each other in PvP because we chose opposing factions. It's no big deal. We face each other with honor, no more, no less. Group coordination will obviously need to be done in groupchat rather than guildchat, but again, that's not a big deal.
The point of all of us pooling together on one server shouldn't be to bolster the strength of any one side in the war. It should be to hang out together because WE ARE BROTHERS.
Anyone who has stuck with this profession for any length of time, anyone who has supported it through thick and thin, and anyone who hopes for a better future for our profession...we're all connected.
Vode an.
I don't want to be Rebel, I've made that clear. That does not mean I would not be willing to accompany any of you Rebel commandos into the mouth of hell, the Geo caves, the DWB, or anything like that. We stand together, but sometimes brothers do fight (ask my own brother sometime). When that happens, we face one another with honor, and without fear.
Bring everything that you are and everything that you have, and leave nothing.
When the dust settles, it shouldn't matter who beat who. We are brothers, or we *should* be.
We're letting this stupid faction thing drive a wedge between us already, and I admit I'm guilty of allowing myself to get a little snappy with my brethren. For that, I apologize.
But I do *not* apologize for saying we should not be devoted to any one faction. Each member of the guild should be allowed to make up their own minds. If a third of us want to be Imperial, a third wants to be Rebel, and a third wants to be neutral mercs, then that should be fine. We should be one guild, one community, and we should *not* be divided by such a stupid thing as faction.
Our community has never been like any other community on these forums. We should stick with that, and not be like so many other guilds that are dedicated to a single faction.
We are commandos. We should dare to be different.
Now, who else wants the soapbox?

So...is it decided then? Dual faction? One plus is that with no Jedi we won't have to worry about the whole "You're guildie BH killed my guildie Jedi and I hate you! wawawa!" lol. I forsee lots of great battles on Starsider where Rebel and Imperials alike will be calling us in for support because of our devestating firepower! Battles where the tide will turn because of the arrival of our guild. (Just hope we don't get nerfed b/c of it lol).

Ok, going to be a bit of a dictator on this, but from what I gather, some people are going to be happy no matter what we do. So like said above, we will be a split faction. Rebels and Imps. We cna set up imp bases at one end of the town, and rebel at the other, and we can fight it out for fun whenever we damn well please (no base destruction though, it sucks to have to regrind faction. So if ya blow a base, make sure they can replace it quickly)

Splitting into 2 factions is really gonna weaken out ability to storm bases across the galaxy. I origionally wanted to be rebel, but now I hear they're pretty dominant as far as planetary control on starsider. So now I want to even the odds a bit. I wouldn't mind running missions for both sides and jumping back and forth fighting for the weaker side (or the side that payed us if we built up such a reputation). But I guess splitting is the only way since so many people say "I'll never go Rebel" and "I'll never go Imp." I just really think splitting will weaken us. Is there no way to Compromise?

Jumping back and fourth of faction will cost a lot of money and time. Not everyone will be happy as rebel.

Hmmm...the double faction thing seems to make us just a group of commandos that are in the same guild as opposed to a fighting group of commandos that all work together...but oh well.
