Thread: Hard Core, Old School Commando's... why not move to one server and play together?
But nothing wrong with Bria, I just think, if what people are saying, that there is a LOT of pvp stuff, we are screwed. I have 512 mb ram because Asus motherboards suck and wont upgrade.

and what the heck we'd do with them then?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ![]()
Once they surrender to us, we take over their country and form our very own Commando Nation. You think the Europeans are a little paranoid about Germany? Wait til they get a load of us! ![]()

I dislike Bria because it is a large server. A large server doesn't need more people. Lets all just go to a small empty one. Kauri or some wierd server no one remembers. We can all grow together, and help eachother out. No one will be better off then anyone else. That would be better. Plus, running 2 is a deathtrap. You'd spread us out to far.
What about Wanderhome? I tooka quick scan through this thread and didn't see anyone that plays on Wanderhome... your thoughts?
On avacant type server since it would be easier to find land and we wouldn't seem like the "little guys" for so long. Also, that's less competition for loot and resources and stuff. That said,it would be harder to give ourselves a big name on a less populous server. I imagine that if we make a big impact on a big server maybe the devs would notice us more? It would be tough, but might be worth the effort. Also, I'd love the idea of burninating droves of Jedi, and on a less popular server there are less Jedi. But maybe that's a good thing?
Anyways, a guild of Commandos on one server has a better chance of affecting our profession than scattered Commandos. So maybe we should pick a server with that in mind? Hey Starnick, which server would give us the best chance to do this?
This has great potential, but please give the guy what he deservers for bring us together.
My suggestion:
A server with light traffic where we all start out together, grow together and fight together, all the way up. Some players are capable of doing credit trades, and that would be helpful. The rest of us can grind it out like we always have. A light server will mean more people can join in, regardless of connection speed, and everything can feel they have a fair playing field with the rest of the group.

I disagree with Bria for the size factor.
Though myDSL sometimes craps out when I find an overly populated area, I'm more worried about the members of our community that are on 56k. Bria would probably be an absolute hell for them in terms of handling/loading all the data that would be coming through their connection.
I'm seriously for one of the Euro servers, or one of the lesser-used US servers. It may be amajor pain in the assto get a guild going there since we'd *all* probably be noob characters, but we can just pool our money to buy the hall.
I agree that a big server would be an ideal place to establish ourselves and become much more visible to everyone that isn't a commando, and I'm all for that.
There are pros and cons to both big and small servers that absolutely have to be weighed carefully.
