We could also have protect convoy mission's and intercept a convoy mission.

Protect Convoy mission - Gives you a wp on the planet that gives you a coordinate of where to meet a convoy. You go to that location and meet a sorta convoy truck with like 7 fighter's from your faction - you go to the highest ranking officer there and salute him to activate the convoy to move. The convoy then procedes to move and you get a waypoint that keeps upgrading to the next position untill the convoy meets a landing craft to drop the resource or what ever it is transporting. The convoy has a hitpoint base just like a normal vehicle and is overt. During the time that take's the convoy to reach the landing craft, it would be attack by different level of squad's of enemy, getting more progressive. At the end there might be sometimes a enemy player commando who has this convoy as a destroy mission to act as a boss character. The goal is get the convoy to the landing craft alive.

Destroy Convoy mission - The exact opposite. Get a wp on were the landing craft is, have to wait, scout for it, and kill the convy. There might be a player commando at the convoy's protection - so you have to take him out before you can activate your tef against the convoy.

Gah - stupid enter.

Anyways, this would give alot of faction plus money.

Away to introduce this into the GCW is maybe having the resources from the convoy be directly connected to how many resources in game base's have, so the more convoy's one side stop's, the less resources the other side has for their bases. So the commando's on either side of the faction's have to protect and attack convoy's to gain advantage over the opposing side.

Hehe, just had another fun idea... It's not very complex or anything, but...


Faction mission terminal


  • Accept mission "Our bas is under attack!!"

  • Proceed to WP

  • NPC commander instructs you to jump in a turret and help defend the base by any means necessary

  • Jump in the turret and take out wave after wave of enemy NPC's until your turret is destroyed or you win the scenario

  • *If the turret is destroyed, you must take out the invaders manually, and before too many arrive and overun the base

  • Completion scale to the time the base has been assaulted, and the mission difficulty, say you get around 2k per minute the base is defended (if you're succesful.)


Not very in-depth, but sometimes you want to just jump into something and start blazing away at the bad guys!


Maybe for a little more depth to make it commando-specific you can swap the standard turret weapon with one of the commando ones to alter damage type depending on what's attacking? Hehe, a flame turret would be kinda cool to see regardless...

i like blowing up bases! i would think the pay out would rival that of a bounty hunters (we ar almost the same thing commandos and bounty hunters)((we just have cooler wepons))

also another idea is convoys! the move around, and us commandos have to take em out before they errrmmmm o ya hover away!

we have bazookas why not use em to take out hevey instalations (there are never ant turrents around any more, and us imperials don't get to shoot walkers)

although if we were to use bazookas i would like to have the pay out a LOT HIGHER! over 50k or so (perferibly 100k but i don't want to puch my luck too far.) because i don't know about you but a single rocket is about 5k per shot or something.

yes yes yes we would have to go to a spy dude of some kind to determin the location adn travle path of the convoy, but i think that a commando specific mission would be narly, and would let us use our hevey hevey weps on something worth while.

I think this is a really good Idea. it sums up most of it in one post. We should have terminals, and or people we get missions from. We have a rescue (worth the most), retrieve, and BLOW **** up! That way we aren't infrining on any BH missions so we don't have to hear them whine. We were were unnerfed and say are HAR was worth using and our others worth using, We could seriously sack a small base, retrieve,destroy or rescue what we needed and be gone.

Also a little off topic but I have been thinking about general strong vs. weak and this is what it should kinda be like

Commando>Fencer,Swordsman
TKA,Pikeman>Commando
Commando>Bounty Hunter
Command>Carbine, Pistols
Rifleman>Commando

Ok time for my idea.

What about escort missions, you have to escort a guy/group/convoy of refugees/non-combat scientist etc across from one base/town to another. To make this different from normal escort missions these people keep going even if you stop. At various stages of the journey the convoy gets attacked.

This would mean you need a group for example a ranger to scout ahead to check the route is clear a commando to get the missions and more people to cover the flanks and rear of the convoy. As the convoy doesn't stop, you and the group must keep up whilst not letting members of the convoy die.

The pay out would then be based on the skill level of your group and the number of survivors that make it to the second base/town. The could be a minimum number of survivors if this isn't reached then the mission is failed.
