Nah it will start teh end of this month beginning of March. They are working on a May release deadline that has been obvious from the first CU post in October. Its all about money and marketing. Their strin-out campaign has worked wonderfully for em and they only have about a week to go. Isn't it amazing that Tyrant said in the HOC chat to expect more info next week.
Nevermind.
I'm out.

Before I got access, I agreed with you about their reasons for the delays, But reading what i have read, I have to change my mind. If the Dev's had had their way, they would have opened the sandbox and beta along time ago. The delays are the testers telling the Dev's " NO, that is not good enough. Now go get your S*** together and get it right. " and sadly they have had to say that ALOT.
I have read over 4 months of posts in the last 2 days and i have to say that the demands of the Testers have made the CURB even better. You would have been upset if the changes that the testers demanded had not been made. IMHO, the testers have saved the CURB from disaster.
No doubt I'm sure you're excited in what you see. Doesn't change the fact they have stretched to fit their marketing plans and you can't tell me when it opens live in May and they are advertsinig the game and all it changes to all those who just watched Episode 3 thats its coincedence.

I think you missed my point:
If the Dev's had had their way, they would have opened the sandbox and beta a long time ago. The delays are the testers telling the Dev's " NO, that is not good enough. Now go get your S*** together and get it right. " and sadly they have had to say that ALOT.
To be honest, i am not that excited. I have serious concerns about the Dev's plans but they are working on them to improve them.

So you believe when it goes live in May that it is only a coincdence? I don't think so. From what I hear there was a 3 week window where the devs hardly said anything on those boards.... buying time? Skeptic666 just posted a week or two ago saying all he was doing was waiting and sitting on his hands and didn't know why the sandbox hadn't started yet. All these same sandbox testers that you claim were unhappy with the documents were arguing with me back In November when i said it wouldn't start till after the new year and they were saying there was no reason it should take that long and were predicting a sandbox start before Thanksgiving. Same testers were saying was going to start before Christams and then in January even Garvin until January ran out and he gave them another blank check. No doubt changes I'm sure ahve been made but SOE its stupid nor are they incompetent they know exactly what they are doing and this is going to be rolled out for a May release and will be advertised like crazy to pull the enthusiasm from the movie to bring in new subscriptions and even that many more Jedi grinders. So you can continue to defend SOE's string-out campaign it doesn't change the fact this thing is going live in May and its not about the ALPHA testers, the sandbox or anything else its about the benjamins plain and simple. If they were truly wanting to get this out they would have put a larger staff on the project plain and simple. They were worried about account cancellations man they were moving very thing was in "a few weeks" when the anger wears off the devs stop talking and the times tretches and strecthes.
Let me put it this way would you like to make a wager on the release to live for the CU?

The Devs have a very good reason why they've been quiet for as long as they have. Pushing it back to May for marketing reasons has nothing to do with it. I wish I could say more, but NDA etc...
