It's entirely possible that I misunderstood the dev's explanation when they were trying to 'fix' the commando flame specials and it said something along the lines of "flame specials will no longer stack"... maybe they meant that the SAME flame specials (meaning flame single 2 won't cause multiple burns) won't stack, although I wasn't aware that they ever did.

All dots on every weapon can be stacked as long as they are different. (i.e. healthshot1, healthshot2 will stack) Only thing is, you can only stack 3 dots per pool.Like if you use flame1, flame2, flamecone1 and then switch to pistol and do healthshot1, only the top 3 dots will stick until one runs out. Target will show that it is bleeding but you never see the bleed.If in a group, like a group of3 commandos, youcan only stick 3 fire dots on a single target, not sure if everyone can stick the same special though, haven't tested it, I would assume so though, but a single person can't.
