Face it. No one understands the NDA.

Its a Non-disclosure act...whats there not to understand?

It'd actually be better for the game if they didn't have the NDA. Then you could have everyone looking at the changes and telling the devs if they're good or not. Instead, the devs just do what the want and don't listen to anyone, and we're left with the game the way it is today, nearly completely broken, and breaking more every day.

*Buzzer* Wrong! Thats why they're having the 100-150 (give or take some Bounty Hunters) sandbox testers...theres probably more pages of posts in that dang forum on ideas, comments, criticisim, etc than the entire commando forum...for the most part the Devs -have- listened to us, especially the correspondents with Alpha so far...a big reason for the delay...

Plus the NDA is there to prevent confusion as well as to prevent false hopes. There will undoutdedly be some stuff that were concieved in the documents that may never see light of day. And some of those concepts could have very well started WWIII with any profession forum against SOE if the entire player community saw them first....ours included. Its a hard decision, and the devs have given all of us some false hope in the past (when they said they were gonna release the documents a few weeks after JTL)

Anyways, don't worry about them...once CURB Beta rolls by all those who signed up (and like the JTL beta, prolly all will get a chance to participate), the documents you all will see could very well be different...more refined, and more user-friendly....I dont know if the devs thought of this, but if they havent...they should

If they'd listened to us in the first place, we wouldn't need the combat revamp, we'd all be just fine. No, all they listen to are nerf calls.

Hey...I agree! The devs are finally taking a good step in the right direction...now if they only did this a year ago! Before we only had the correspondents, and even that wasn't enough (in my opinion). Taking groups of -actual- customers/players and putting them in a form of a closed "focus" group to test out large new upgrades/revamps/etc is a great thing...and should be done long after the Sandbox ends too. With the Alpha testing, the Devs just opened a larger funnel...

Though things are looking up with the devs beginning to listen to the players, like about the Rubberbanding (not that it's fixed) and the Faction Ranks.

Yep! As far as I can tell, communication is really starting to improve...take today for example...

I speculated early that the Devs might try to spread this FF out a bit (since they know it's one of the bigger ones that spawns much discussion)...the more time that goes by that we don't see Part II today, the more I think we'll see Part II next week or after a different CU related post or two...this tactic I believe goes by the technical term of "milking it for all it's worth"

But on the lighterside...at the rate that good things have been coming out and the increase in Dev communication over the last few weeks, I have a feeling more cool news will be coming out soon...

Remember...this is only Part I...Commandos are getting a new weapon (at least one)...I can't really say more...remember also that there are weapons in game that aren't cert'd to anyone currently...so maybe we might be getting one of those as well...who knows... This Part I FF is just showing off SOME of the new weapons...a TON of melee weapons are missing as well as ranged weapons from what's been shown...hopefully we'll see Part II today, but maybe that's being saved for next week...I hope to hear more soon....

Beam Rifle (not sure on name because ive never used it, looks like the HAR) ....may this gun finally have a use?!?!
