I did alot of testing on this, namely with getting past the inherent defenses of TKMs and keeping mine up despite the bombardment of CM poisons. I canhappily say that I have won at the very least 90% of my duels, and I came out part of the winning team in a faction battle for a base by shooting more for specials that work rather than the 'uber defense' that some people cant seem to get away from. (Too used to composite I guess) With Jedi I am sure it'll be no different. The specials make the commando. ![]()
Unfortunately, I have found that my rifles do substantially more damage than my PT, RL, and LP using other profs attacks. Namely sniper shot with a sliced T21 being my power hitter. It just doesnt work that easily with commando. I tried dropping commando (yes I'm a bad person) and grabbed MRifleman, MCarbiner, and BH 4-0-4-0. As of yet I am unbeaten in PvP with this template, even against the almighty swordsman and their PH's of doom. ![]()
Difference is this: the commando was all about Grenade KD, and landing so many DOTs that they couldnt recover. Should the KD fail, kiting would be your only real defense and some specials dont allow that. The Rifle/Carbine combo was almost always a gauranteed KD. If charge shot didnt work, underhand shot would. And while they're down, hit em with Knee shot, Leg shot, and Cripple shot so coming after you is a huge pain in the ass if they ever get up. This is very effective against commandos who never switch from the FT cause the E11mk2 and T21 have more range. And I two-shot incapped a commando with my T-21 using underhand shot, then snipershot. He landed a DOT on me, but it didnt last, he was already dead. Jedi will fall the same way now that saber block is reduced, and since I insist on killing the glow-stick whores, I may have to relenquish my Master Commando title on live. ![]()
