nice going sly
Imay have to change my template due to your success. Have you been using your grenades
? I just got like 25 crates of imp detonators for free from someone retiring. Hope to see you in game.

My brother just started playing the game and he wants to be a Master Bounty Hunter above all else. He came to me asking what a good template for killing other people would be. So, I made a variation on your build, BloodMonk. I have no idea of its effectiveness but its MBH, novice medic and brawler (for heal, intimidate, and warcry) with carb 4/0/0/2 and pistoleer 0/4/0/0. He would use basically the same strategy as you (intimidate/warcry, using carbines to dizzy and knockdown) but then switching to pistol (and launching bomb droids) once they are knocked down to deal damage. I am uncertain as to whether the pistols would do enough damage and that I picked the right branches of carbineer and pistoleer to maximize his effectiveness. Any input you could give would be very welcome. He just started, so hes not going to be reaching this template anytime soon, lol.

BloodMonk, I also demand (:robottongue
that you write a guide about your PvP experiences and upload it to Garvin's website. I think a lot of us would find it helpful =)

Sly, what do you do when you get dizzy/kd?
And I wrote this post as a condensed guide to how I PvP, if it interests any of you:

When I go kd'dizzy I just try to stand up eveyr few seconds, if my synth if out I pop an exo cake, check my psg, and once I get up I heal if needed (after warcry), then use the rests of the warcry to intimidate the opponent... trick is to stay out of range of melee'rs after initial dot (which won't work with /doc templates though). I you have too many states you don't like, stall with warcry.
For the BH template, have a look at MBH, pistols 0040, carbs 1034, medic 0040. This is really not an easy template to strat PvP;ing with though.
It's best not to use more then 2 weapons, depending on situation. eg. a vs a /doc (yes hi again) carbines are prettly useless....unless you noticed they run heal macro's, then you can use them against em by stating all the time.
Anyhow, with this template you have moderate KD defense, fanshot (for dot weapons), torsoshot is really usefull, eye too of course, carbs for stating and for damage: The LLC (or a nice scatter lol). as he still has some time he'll have time to save up some cash, have a WS make ans LLC with fast tissue (minimum -.5), a regular blaster rifle barrel, imp formfitted stock and a +41 accuracy advanced scope, couple it with the accuracy commando's take and you'll have a very damaging weapons (especially vs a KD'd opponent).
I had one made today, unsliced it's 3s 438/820 and +90 accuracy (with -.85 tissue, all of the above but a looted rifle barrel with +31 accuracy). it can be kinda expensive though lol........a nice scatter shouldn't be to hard to find...
going to sleep now (don't thin I make any sense)

PS: also had a krayt HAR made: unsliced 4.3s 357 833 @72 accuracy..in the light of that other thread on the boards...

Doc almost anything sucks cause they can cure my flame. Aside from that the only type of person I have not beaten was a TKM Pikeman template that was pretty dang good. Everything else is a toss up. If i have stun armor I'm pretty dang good.

Ahh, many thanks for the help! I'm not the best person to make templates, after all, my favorite one is master commando with the full melee and ranged defense lines of squad leader.

keep dot'ing and intimidating doc...Delay their curing with warcry, and you can wear em down witha bit of luck.

I've been getting ganked a lot by jedi lately so no new stories....
I did get ot fight some more /docs though. the intimidate/flame/warcry approach seems very effective

Getting ganked unbuffed and getting killed by a jedi squad sucks. I died a lot last week like that.
The doctors I've killed were either TKM or Master Fencer. The TKs were easy to dizzy/lunge and stayed down for longer due to their relatively low Defense vs. Dizzy. The Fencer took much longer to kill because I had to wait for him to run out of blankets and stims, lol, but luckily he must not have had many on him. None of them had any strong DOTs, which you can expect from a TK, but Fencers are much more dangerous because of that.
I tend to use the "let them run out of stims" approach, which is why I don't use warcry very much. If they hit hard (riflemen/swordsmen) then I might switch tactics, but so long as they're healing, they can't do specials either. And by the time they run out, their PSG/Synthsteak should be long gone.

here's another:
I was one the prowl tonight (alone again) when I saw a red dot close to theed SP. which I later learned was msw/mfencer/mbrawler/sometin else.
the guys immediatly runs off the the medcenter after I stick a flame on him, tries to stall with elevator....we get stuck in the first floor where he goes at me msw style to begin with. as I'm on synth and flameing him all the time he changes a few times between m fencer (doing next to no damage, but making me miss from time to time) and msw, keeping int2 on me at all times and playing the warcry game.
By taking synth again, and afterward exo cakes I wear him down with flames...luckily he started going for health after a while....good luck for me...while I kept hammering him I let him get my health to about 800 before I healed (panic!).....when we're going at it for about 20 minutes (had to use equilibrium because he did hammer my mind down quitea bit), with me only being a bit lower on mind and him healing 400 health left, a buddy shows up.
TK/msw/m brawler (I think he was fairly easy to state so not fencer defenses I think, and he was all out melee).
I immeditaly took the elevator and ran out as the moment he entered both started pounding my mind...once comes out...which I keep busy, the other heals himslef in the medcenter.... I keep switching between em sticking intimidates and flames when muon downer hits = endgame with a TK and MSW doing headhits...while I've eaten all my exo cakes
The defense stacker was as good as dead, although I fought him on HIS terrain (1st level of theed medcenter lol)....another one who'll fear commando's from now on
Lessons learned:
-hide your abilities (in this case healing) if your opponent doesn't know you have them, it can buy you time
-take your time to intimidate ALL your opponents
-eat smugglers delight next time! (=no spice downer)
-stay calm when KD, eat and exo or synh if possible, warcry opponent after you stand to heal and intimidate. only do /stand every few seconds.
-don't move when you're lunged, you might not fall over
