I've run into that before. Most customers are nice and appreciative. It's the stinkers that ruin it for ya though. I rarely wear my Master title over my head. But I'm pursuing other things anyhow at the moment.

Just to pick up the point about tipping for training, having dabbled in quite a number of professions

The general view is that the Apprentice Points are a fair exchange for your passing on your skill. I used to tip and got the money given back to me over and over by people who explained it wasn't necessary. As I've developed more skills I've trained lots of people and very few people tip. I'm actually usually deliriously grateful - I hope to never be standing outside Theed Starport peddling chef training to get Master

For all that I like the notion that you, the trainer, don't go to them and I stick to it. I'll cheerfully say things like "sure, I'm at Dantooine Mining Outpost, heading North" which usually is sufficient discouragement

I never train people who areexploiting some loophole if I'm aware of it (usually such people are the most distressed by the prospect of using a NPC trainer which pleases me greatly)

I was a master pistoleer/TKM/Rogue/duelist and did very well in PVP and PVE. I decided to drop the fencer stuff and some smuggler to get nov commando to try out my pre-nerf Launcher Pistol I've been keeping in the bank. I loved that pistol with my pistoleer abilities. It was a breath of fresh air for a burnt out pistoleer.

I noticed this pistol was giving me heavy weapons xp, so I got hooked on the grind bug and gave up some TK to grind the flamethrower tree. The flame throweris lovely and I wanted more, so i dropped TK all together and mastered Commando last night. Master pistoleer/Master Commando in the house.

Well, I go and buy about 600k worth of grenades, flamers, acid rifles, launchers, etc. I can't hit a damned thing with a grenade, at all, not even gubbers and butterflies. I tried several types of grenades, and threw them from the best range and miss, miss, miss.

I try to solo the things I used to in PVE and get the old deathblow everytime. I haven't dared to try PVP yet, we'll see how that goes.

So I say, wellI can at least group and do some major damage from afar. LOL, the group says my explosions are annoying and causing lag.

Well, at least I can cut through those Mokk missions with ease, while keeping my hopes up for this profession after the combat balance.

I still love blowing things up no matter what. But the potential for this profession is great, and I hope they make it what it should be, all around, not just the flamer tree.
