I ran up on a TKA Master and a Master Gunfighter both with TEFs tonight. Made the mistake of going after the Pistoleer first. Took 2 successful flamesingle2's to drop him, and by then the TKA was in melee range.

He then preceeded to do horrible things to me. After playing TEF Tag with another Master TKA all night, I think these guys are worse than Commandos with the Revenge TEF. And nothing is more bad ass than a TKA Master Incapping 3 people in seconds with feet flying everywhere. which is what he did in the Med Center to the TEFs healing me hehe.

A friend of mine is a BH, so we had a couple duels just to see what would happen. The first time he only used pistol and carbine. He managed to kill me because of the use knockdowns and dizzy, I couldn't get close enough to him to use the specials, or when I did he was moving way too much and I missed. He also managed to get away and heal himself. The second time he went up against me with a LLC, he was down and out in seconds.

i hope they change our profession so that we have to think a bit more in combat ....

BH owns Commando.. BH owns pretty much every class in the game..

I personally would like to see some kind of delay put on eye shot, even with a delay it would still be a powerful attack. Its ridiculous how many novice BH there are because of this one special. Just my 2 cents.

I get owned pretty frequently by commandoes. It is all in the tactics, mine are lacking, I hate to call commandoes a support class butt you kinda are. If you can have someone distracted to let you close in on them, you win. If you start a duel from 50 meters with a BH I'm gonna KD, and eyeshot you into oblivion with maybe a torso shot kicker for some downtime.

I am trying to understand why if so many Commando's go, and get Pistoleer there is not more talk about "Stopping shot", or any of the other moves available to them through this skill tree?

If the damage from heavy weapon specials is considered melee damage, would the defenses from TKA apply?

To end the debate thoughI think its safe to assume that you can take anyone down provided you have the jump or the tactics to counter being jumped. I doubt that there is anyone stoppable class out there. This is a good thing.

Certainly, the classes give an edge for the type of training they recieve. For example a commando shoudn't survive a rifleman that is nailling em from max distance should he? I suppose the only way to asnwer this is to know how the commando reacted. Did he try and close the gap or rely on a subskill to throught the attack long enough to close the distance. I am betting though if he didn't close the gap in 4 seconds or less he would be laying on his back.

Inclosing, you shoudl know if you ask questions like this your really asking whats better apples or oranges (Given they both come from a tree (IE Heavy weapons)) You should expect there will always be someone that will argue that apples are better tasting to pears. Its an opinion and just because the majority of the people share your opinion does not make it a fact.

Therefore, when faced with thequestion "Commando Vs. BH" one should ask "which commando and bounty hunter is taking part in the duel" rather then "Commando Vs. BH who would win". This applies to all the classes:

RifleMan Vs. Pistoleer

Pistoleer Vs. Creature handler

Creature handler Vs. Commando

Command Vs. Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunter VS Carboneer (Um unsure of the tittle )

IMO all professions have their own advantages, and disadvantages. I do agree that the command is your guts and glory guy out on the battle field and has the potential to dominate 15m or less. However, they are typically the force that needs to be whipped out first if you wish to take the field.

In game, BH is definatly more powerful than Commando. I understand why this is the way it is, in the game. But does anyone else think that a Commando should be more powerful than a Bounty Hunter? Im not crying 'nerf' to the devs, or whatever. Im just saying in our real world, a SAS Commando would F'ing Own an Bail Onforcement Agent. Should the SW Universe be that much different? And Im not counting Fett, cuz we all know he was basically a BH and a Commando.

First problem, Scarface, is that Commandos in SWG are 'commandos' in name only They're absolutely NOTHING like real world Special Forces "Commandos" like Navy SEALs, SAS, Special Forces (Green Berets), etc.

Commando in SWG is basically Army Artillery, or even (haha) Corps of Engineers - they do a lot of demolitions.

If you REALLY want a character that's a Special Forces-type character, you should go Master Rifleman, Master Scout, some Ranger training, and maybe some Carbineer. They're small-arms, high-accuracy survivalists. Commando in SWG is 'commando' in name only - it's an extreme misnomer ~J

If we are gonna compare this to anything lets compare it to the movies.. Boba Fett basically is the most bad **** bounty hunter and gets taken out by accident (by a smuggler no less).. Then you really only see the imperial commandos.. They have kinda cool helmets but thats really about it .. hmm. Anyway who would win in a fight Chewbacca or that bail enforcement bounty hunter guy that went to mexico after the Max factor guy?..
