Thread: Shock Trooper?
I have used artillery pcs for about 3-4 months now... it is all I do. My RL's are 1800-5200 5.3 spd in most cases .. I can level about 600-1500 on a buffed armored target. ( and that is with them wearing 80% resists to blast) it will knock them to less than half of their buffed bar in most cases. If u are not master u will miss alot... if u are not kneeled u will miss alot...
I do nothing but PvP. I have also leveled hits for 1k across 3 players in 4 situations. I have hit more with the radius... but 1k across 3 is my record shots now.
For u guys that are just gettting into it... watch out, u fire on enough people and they will start targeting u like CM's. Always get your RL's sliced and try to get that 'smith to sell to u in bulk orders for about 10-15k each.. buy crates of them. If he is a reputable smith... get him to increace your acc at the cost of ham, got mine at +48 at 48m. U will hit more often.

I've been using rockets and heavy particle beam cannons for months, and they will do about 350-700 dmg in full composite armor (with lots of misses, giving the opponent plenty of time to use a stim B). I don't know how it is on your server, but on chillastra, we all always wear armor and are fully buffed for pvp. I'm not saying I don't incap the occasional idiot now and then, but the times for using one of these for anti-personel is far and few between. Like I said, they are stopped with ease, the guys your friends incapped should go ahead and quit the game, because they are too retarded for pvp. Personally, I haven't been killed by a commando in going on 4 months now (I've had 3 masters on me at once, and none of my HAM bars fell below half). It hurt to drop master commando a week ago, but I'm a lot more effective now. The only usefull line left in commando is the heavy weapons line, and then its only uses are sliceing power regulators and destroying vehicles and turrets (at-st's go down MUCH faster to riflemen, who are more like commandos then commandos in this game). Grenades, flamethrowers, and heavy acid rifles are the absolute most useless weapons in the entire game for pvp.

Well. 500-700dmg is alot better than what I saw on the last armored and buffed weenie I shot with a flamethrower. The last guy I burned I don't think I saw his ham move at all. The dot wounded him and that was about it. I see something seriously wrong with that.
Soo. Just in case I have been tinkin around with the HAR. I maybe wrong on this one. But it seems that the speed mods might stack but not the accuracy mods. Just keep in mind that im just a 3-4-4-4 commando. I believe the insanely long recycle time on the HAR has to do with the fact that on the average the HAR is .7 sec slower than the flamethrower. That can add up really quick with the time modifiers of specials. But no matter. Special all you wan't your still going to do more damage with the default attack. my har does 500-1100 dmg off of a default attack and 3-6k dmg off off acid single 2. Throw in the time requirements of specials and your doing the about same amount of damage either way. And because accuracy sucks so bad (even with using general aim) you might as well stick with the FT and hope for a good DOT. Also acid cone seems to be bugged. I hit multiple targets but only the targeted one takes damage. Just a heads up on that one.

These new titles are cool, and offer some insight as to where the profession could be headed.
Demolitions Expert - This leaves room to expand, perhaps eventually this line will encompass wiring structures/targets with explosives?
Shock Trooper - Perhaps there are plans to add non-FT weapons at some point that serve a similar purpose; heaby first-strike ability
Heavy Infantry - I like the sound of this one best. With a name like this, perhaps this is where our more standard gun skills will go, where the our more 'bread and butter' weaponry will come from.
