Thread: Tips on killing Pickets
GET ARMOR! For hunting, a set of Adv. Ubese is fine. Ubese gets as high as 90%, 80% kinetic isn't hard to find. I have a set of 80% Kinetic Ubese and a set of 90% Comp, save for stun. Yes, it was speny, but worth it. Also, buffs from Docs are VERY helpful, as is some good mind food/drink suck as Angerian Fishak and Glazed Gluco Paste. Betweent the two, you get an extra 1k mind for 12.5 minutes.
As far as picktes' heat resistance....they burn just fine for me. Just make sure you poke 'em a couple of times with the LP incase initial blast from FT special didn't do any damage.
I can stand in the middle of a horde of anything on Dantooine and flame away til it dies. Easy way to make cash, at 25k a mission. Fast too.

im sorry to say that carl is right alitel bit more life dont cut musterd compard to armor ya he has maby 300 extra life wow
good comp armor i get hit fo 1000 i take 300-400 dam now wookie gets hit takes full dam 1000 and has 100 life left if lucky
but what if the mob dos 1500 dam in one hit i with good armo tak only 500-600 life wooki takes all and is incapd and sortly after dbed tell me how fare that is wow he has more life he can shelf buf with wooki roar
but i can shelf buf with tk and i can get a buf plus ware armor now i go agents wooki give me master pistoler and a cdf pistol and ill win lol no mater what skills he has(expt dots)becous ill be abel to have my life bar regen faster then he can kill it

There are 3 things you can do to help you solo pikets:
1. GET GOOD ARMOR! Like everyody says. Really can't over stress that. Hell I don't have the uber armor everybody else here seems to have (only 60% ish kinetic comp armor) but I can tank them just fine.
2. Make a macro /healthshot1; /peace; When approaching your mission stay about max distance out and use your pistol. Kneel or go prone and hit that macro.Then wait 20 sec for the bleed to tic. Only the one you put the bleed on will come. But it only seems to work right for me if I'm prone or kneeling.
3. Buffs of course. They don't hit your mind much but they can knock your health bar down fast. Even just getting constitution and stamina buffs can help a ton. With good buffs to those and good armor you'll regen health so fast that'll usually be back up to almost full before they hit you again. With buffs I usually just go ahead and tank all three at once without having to heal.
After all that well the rest is to just flame the hell out of them. 
hmm, earlier i said bols, but i think its only seething bols that are vulnerable to heat.
and dont wookies get CH bonus? i know it doesnt nearly justify lack of armor, but it shouldt be too hard for you to get a pet tank, if your willing to spend pts on it.
