correction those are some of themm, here is my proof
We are proud to present to you some of the new weapons that are part of the Combat Upgrade! Specific information and stats for these weapons are still being determined.

The Underslung Rotary Carbine has *in fact* been approved by LucasArts... it appearedas the Merr-Sonn Underslung Rotary Carbine in Wizards of the Coast's d20 Star Wars supplement, "Arms and Equipment Guide" a couple years ago. Some of the other 'new' weapons in the CU are also taken from this book.
The art and animations for it may not have been programmed yet, but LucasArts has already approved the design. :-)

Dude, Episode 21 was awesome. 
Nothing as fun as seeing Jedi getting owned and only being saved at the last second because the Spec Ops come to bail 'em out with real weapons. That moment when Greivous pauses (presumably thinking... "Oh #^%!") while the gunship gets ready to cut loose with its blaster cannons was absolutely classic.

I WANT A FRICKIN TURBO LAZER MOUNTED TO MY CHEST!!!!
That was awsome, just just mounted it and became a mobile turret 
Take the damage that a mark 5 blaster does (2000-3000 at .29 speed) and then get 4 of em and mount it to you.... MMMMMM!M!!!!
