You need 5 tissues: 1 for the schematic + 4 for the resulting blaster power handlers.
Pardon me for a moment. While I'm neither aWeaponsmith nor a Commando I'm pretty sure it only takes 4 krayt tissues. When does the the 'one' for the schematic come into play

Requirement for a FT are 4 blaster power handlers which take the tissues, this is correct.
However, the power handlers must be identical. This means, they have to be produced in an equipment factory.
So whenever you need identical components, you have to make a manufacturing schematic for the factory.
As the schematic uses the same resources and components, you have to spend the extra tissue for it.
That is why you need 5 identical krayt tissues for a flame thrower.

Krayt tissues can be used in FT's though I personally would make a DE-10 or 2. What are the speeds on it btw? a 143 max increase on a FT is nice but a 143 increase on a De-10 is nicer. Maybe its my WS side talking who would hate to see such nice tissues in a FT rather than a DE-10.
Sell the pearls buy some tissue with a speed reduction that is high, anything near -1 is really good.

How much is the going rate for a Krayt Flame Thrower? Some guy tried to sell me one for 10 mill, I laughed...was that wrong? I thought that was outrageous, I am willing to spend 500k-1mill on one....maybe.

lol i payed 26k for one that has a 4.6 speed and 44 minimum and like 800 and somethig max. and ham costs of like 76-18-18. it isnt sliced or pup'ed either. so i thought it was a good deal.

It's not the 143 max that helps on a flamethrower, but the speed. those tissues are probably aroun -1.3 speed?. base is 30 max -.3 speed, a 'perfect legendary' is 300 max -3 speed. best speed tissue I ever heard of were some -2.95 ones that were on the Valcyn trade forums a while back. /drooool

For krayt FT I recommend tissues with speed -0.5 or better and low damage. Extra damage on the tissues is not worth the extra cost IMO since the base damage is already very high. Tissues with 4+ dam or less and good speed + formfit stock makes a reasonable priced good FT.
