Commando, as far as I recall when I joined in late February, is the profession with the most Combat oriented pre-requisites. Even Bounty Hunter in the old Master Marksman / Master Scout pre-req's couldn't match our pure Combat pre-req's.
Our pure Combat oriented pre-req's is our ace in saying why we rate more power.
I so wish I had absolutely any say in the combat revamp, but if it makes you feel better I agree!
BTW Comment on this, let me know your opinions!!!!!!

ooh, I feel so special now. 
Isigned up for the Beta Withen 6 hours of it being available. 2 accounts, one of which is inactive, (I just don't log in very often on him anymore, to much work trying to keep my Guild alive when SWG is hemoroging as bad as it is) I hope sincerly that the combat upgrade/ whatever is done right, i will be there if invited, to do my part. Right now though, I just hope there will be something left to save. My guild weaponsmith, park outside Bestine aboutonce a week and greet the new players as they load in for first time. She hands out starter kits for either marksman or Brawler. i give around 3k to them give em a set of Kinetic Bone that my guilds armorsmith makes. a backpack, a stack of stim B's. stuff that really only cost us around 5k a per player, but make such a huge difference starting out. Group them up, so i can we can provide traing as needed. I remeber the days when we would get 10 newbs in an hour, now we may get 1 newb in 10 hours. 
Oh BTW, I'm not tooting my own horn, saying how nice I am, i do it for purely selfish reasons, its to sound out people for membership to guild, and for our weapon/armorsmith to build a customer base = )

Just a random thought, but you can blame it on being a soldier for 8 years and spending too much time sleeping in the mud... When I hear the word commando, I tend to think of Special Forces, Green Berets, Army Rangers, Navy Seals, etc. These guys eat, sleep, and breathe carnage... they spend the majority of their time in the wilderness, doing covert ops and such. Personally, I think that adding a pre req, some type of scout/ranger skill training would make the skills much more realistic.
As I said, blame it on the Army.

Come on...I love the Army, Navy, and Air Force! I've seen each in it's best...each hassaved my hyde more then once! Pretty humbling to be totally honest. Marines are trained to be the best independant troop. Well, ANGLICO had to be anyway.
Bla! Listen! Hold up! Stand Down! .... Commando is well on it's way to honoring the name! Commando is well on it's way to be viewed as Spec Ops for all of you Gents. Ya gotta just hang in there! Garvin is truely leading the charge...

With the Revamp, the more Marksman you have, the better a Ranged player you'll be...likewise...the more Brawler you have, the better a Melee player you'll be...As Commandos, your Pre-Reqs will make A LOT more sense post revamp...

prerequisites will make you a much better fighter then before - much!
