I do...
That was sweet looking, firing across the culdasack.
Then again, I've seen some cooler stuff.... like flying lawnmowers...

Uhm, Garvin? I'm sorry but I'm not going to strip down and get "bare" with the Devs! I'm sure they're very nice and all, but REALLY......

I'm always horrible with spelling, especially before 9 am....
Besides...maybe I meant it that way...Going Commando/TKMwill allow you to be aNaked Commando and still kick butt
....Technically, that combo will allow a Commando to, well, Go Commando!

In an ideal world your prolly right Starnick
But in the UK the term broadband spans 128k-8mbit, and possible internet congestion caused by everyone downloading the CU publish LOL

I agree wiv u Garvin. Speaking as a web applications developer, I know full well that sometimes transfering stuff between servers can and does break from time to time.
I also admit that bugs are part and parcel of programming. I dont know of any programmers out there who have written software bug free. Personally im expecting to see bugs and its up to us to try and log any bugs we find, with as much detail as possible and steps to recreate them if we can. Theres nothing worse for a programmer than "hmm, this dont seem to work!"

hmm I know this isn't exactly the right place for this but how fast are the cable modems (ideally)... I have728 kbps DSL service right now... though it's never actually that fast. Anywho fiberoptics are coming to town and I can upgrade to 5 mbps free of charge or pay the extra like $13 per month and go to 15mbps but that just seems over the top to me. Anywho just so I have something to compare to... how fast is cable?

I have downloaded at more than 4 megabytes per second on my cable, mainly off fileplanet late at night.

4 Mbytes? are you sure. That would mean you have 32mbit cable connection
Bandwidth is always in bit speed, which is 1/8 of a byte
I have a 4Mbit connection so my max download speed is approx 500kb (4/8 = 0.5)
UK Cable modems and DSL can vary between 128Kbit - 8Mbit

Like my previous post, all bandwidth is measured as as bits per second (bps). 1Kb = 8 Byte = 8 Bits. It dont matter if you got DSL, Cable, Fibre optics or Satelite connections.
15Mbit is way better than 5Mbit, which is better than 728Kbit. Speeds are always a maximum too. Theres a million other things that can slow you download speeds that are beyond our control.
The biggest bottle neck is the internet itself. It just cant handle the sheer amount of traffic anymore.

Quite sure. I got better at my college dorm, probably due to the fact our internet was an offshoot of Georgia Tech's, and they have one of the few truly direct internet hookups, or so I've heard.
