This remembers me during an Imp vs. Reb battle in Anchorhead (ah the good times).
There were about 5 guys next to each other because they want to be sure to be in range of an area heal, so i used my rocket launcer and saw 3 of em incapped including the doc
. It was rather funny coz they didn't expect this to happen from a commando.
Never underestimate the commando!

See real Commandos (Not FS Monkeys) are something rare. Many I think are a little unsure what do since they ain't never seen anything like us. On my server there seems to be a rise in Commandos. I think so many people have left that what was once rare is becoming common cause Commandos don't know when to quit!

The only guy I have killed in PVP in my 12 month tenure as a Commando was another commando lol, otherwise I drop like a rock. Thank you for your inspirational Story.

Woah reply heaven! i leave for two days and come back to find 18 replys to my post. Anyways ive continued to try out this pvp thing with my guild and to tell you the truth, Commandos are one of the best support professions for big game hunting. Just go out and buy some 80% composite and your all ready to fight tka's, swordmans, and pikeman without the slightest challenge. And someguy mentioned that he loses mind to quickly, migrate your stats to full mind bars, buy some of that 400+ for 40min focus food and brandy, then pop a moun and your all set to start playing with the big boys. im not very good at pvp when i was a tkm i was like pshh this sucks cause i seemed to always be getting pwned i remember this one time in particualar that i was dueling a master commando and got totally killed. thats just one more reason why i am proud to be part of the commando ranks! /salute

You have to be the luckiest man that I know... I rarely if ever landed ANY specials on an opponent during PVP, let alone was I ever able to STACK specials on someone.
Funny story however, some guy wanted to duel me once, he was imp and I was rebel and he was role-playing that he hated wookiees while we were both getting heals in the Cnet Cantina. He had an UBER power hammer, and he let me know it ahead of time. We line up, and he was talking trash a mile a minute (but in a good way, cause he was RPing). Sure enough, his first move is to try to land Warcry, but he fails and I dropped him instantly with Flame Single 2. It was an awesome feeling. Everyone around was cracking up because I dealt him such a quick end to our duel.
We duel again, and again I drop him in one shot because he missed his Warcry. Third time he got me cause he was finally able to land it and his hammer took me down pretty quickly.
One-shotting a player is one of the best feelings in the game... hehe.

I love you guys. I always wanted to light stuff on fire so by golly I'm going to make a commando. gotta shuffle my tkm/doc/cm off bloodfin and bring in my novice BH, get unarmed 4 and start burning stuff.
Its funny how scared people get when with my TKm i take a knee, pull out a rocket launcher and start shooting people. Unfortionally I only do like one dmg since I am not a commando. God I cant wait to smoke some jedi with a 3500dmg rocket when he is in the middle of a pvp fight.

Have to say, I was on the other end of a rocket launcher the other day, and it gave me a fright.
Was down a bit from general damage in PvP, holding a town square. Up runs a commando, burns my group with a flamer. I holler into the TS "Ranged on Melee, melee on Jedi, I'll take the flamer!" and away we go.
I start to burn first. Which is unpleasent. I hammer at the guy with a DE-10, and hurt him a bit. He then kneels (I've never seen this before, having never hung around with commandos) and aims a RL at me. I think "you know, if that hits, it's a one shot" He missed, I KD'd him and blasted at him until he died. Sent tells later, saying he had about stopped my heart with the RL trick.
Something else.
And now, I find myself (having messed up my template with FS weirdness) taking the flamer line from commando (along with grenades of course). It is alot of fun setting things on fire, and I even whipped out a RL the other day to shoot up a turret.
If I get another toon going, I am seriously considering master Commando.

The reason you simpltons suck at pvp is because you waste your skill points.... Take my template for example.... Master Commando Pistoleer 0040 Fencer 0040 and Rifleman 0040. I have a +10 def vs dizzy skill tape in my shirt, so in a sence you CAN NOT DIZZY ME. I get eaten up by rifleman and bh/pistoleer like everyone else but i'm a melee destroyer... you can't knock me down or get attacks in and im stacking flame on you with a 1.7 speed flame thrower with 950 max the entire time your trying. I'm a melee eater.... ROAAAAAR!!! NOTE: get master commando.... and stack your dizzy defence... its noobs like u guys that use there sp left from commando to get master medic or something, wich intern makes commando look like a joke proffesion.

Immature posts like this bother me... you acutally make some very good points, but then you have to ruin it by trying to insult everyone by calling them "simpltons (sic)" and "noobs"...
The commando forums are usually devoid of this type of post... FYI, not everybody builds a PVP-only template, I'm glad that you have and it seems to work well for you. But don't insult people just because they don't PVP exclusively and take on other skill points so that they can do other things in the game such as PVE.
The commandoes that are left are a proud group, please don't come in and insult them here.

yeah i agree that post could of been a good one but im afraid that post ... the guy was so far up his own as* which personally i cant stand ina person.
