This is exactly the retarded thinking that gets commando screwed every release.

Flamethrower is NOT commando. If you base ALL the proffession's performance on that ONE damn weapon then why the heck do we have heavy weapons, grenades and the rest???
Yes we have many more weapons now.

Here's a fact for you:


Heavy weapons do MINIMAL damage. Yes houston, I can do MORE damage with a freaking low level weapon than I can with a rocket launcher as master commando using *any* other elite proffession high damage special. Screw the KD ability, they are heavy weapons not effect inducing weapons. Thats for smugglers, pistoleers and other small caliber weenies.
I disagree. Have you seen the new Heavy Rocket Launcher? Yeh the standard RL is comparable with other low level weapons, its only a tier 1 heavy weapon. Take the DPS from the heavy Lightning Cannon or the plasma flame thrower or the Heavy Acid Stream Cannon and compare those too.

Throwing a grenade roots you in place AND does minimal damage compared to any other proffession's specials in 1 shot. Tell me what good is it affecting stuff 20m around the grenade if you yourself get snared down? Its hilarious really! Try using a cryoban or a proton grenade on a persuing melee player.. you STOP, give them time to reach and hit you AND to boot you're STILL rooted by the time they have hit their recover from KD and are standing up. In other words: USELESS. Nice 'splosion graphics though.
Sounds like a bug to me, if the thower gets rooted too.

Not junk, its a novice grinding weapon, just like the Massassi Knuckler.

Proton Rifle: There's no craft schematic for it in master wepsmith. So its a loot drop weapon. Fun isnt it? ou r only 'true' high damage weapon is loot..and certed in master box. Want fries with that?
Its not our only 'true' high DPS weapon.

Flamethrower is the only weapon who retains damage and dot and now for some jackwad reason it fires like a machine gun. Its really a prenerf loot drop weapon with a dot on it. Oh, but big sheet of flame. Big woopeee deal. And go try and pve with it, you will aggro everything around you since its automatically a cone attack weapon.
Which flamer thrower did you comment about? the regular or Plasma? The heavy lightning cannon also gives a DoT.


No, the commando got royally screwed this CU. The *ONLY* positive things I see from it is the proton rifle (if it was craftable) and that grenades now hit everything in the aoe radius except you and have state effects. The rest is nerfed up useless junk... except the flamer which now has been delegated to kiddy quake weapon for the blithering masses.
Its plain to see that you appear to have lacked your research. We have been testing commando since TC CU came up. Many commandos here are happy with the profession.
