the specials are embarressingly bad at the moment. longish wind up slow cool down bad damage compared to other elite specials.

1. 1500+ damage is more damage than any gun puts out with "ranged shot"
2. its still a decent radius AOE, i've hit over 20 targets in PVP with one grenade.

Well with the proton, get a 1450 max damage grenade (i believe min stats will be 1200-1300, albeit the range will be very short), pup it...then in PvP:
1) Use it as your opening shot
2) Switch back to your normal weapons
3) Maybe change it up with an imperial detonator to KD while you prepare another proton...
4) Wham!
By themselves, proton grenades will -not- be very destructive, but get them power-upped...and even after the PvP damage reductions, that's a healthy chunk of Kinetic damage to a dominatenly energy-based armour crowd. Tie that in with 100% AoE...
Under the right circumstances, grenades might prove very useful Post-Publish 24...just wished the timers were a bit better so they won't be a one or two-time event in combat.

i've now crafted protons for 1393 - 1633
i think 1633 is the cap.

Hmm, sounds cool. I need my guild WS to make some some nades ![]()
The specials are not very good at all. Every special has small damage mulitplier and long windup. They realy need to be reworked.

A step in the right direction....Our specials still need work but the AOE being fixed is really nice!
Overall it's a lot better than it was......Anything is better than it was.....And thats what we need to look at, at least they are starting to pay attention to us now
