Yeah, especially when you have roots such as stopping shot recharging (helps mainly in PvE). Even though I disagree that commando is wasted with carbineer (so far, ALL carbineer specials are working fine with commando weapons...and compliments the AoE nature of our profession...I tie that in with pistoleer crowd control which is -really- nice.), nice post Tac

Im going for a Master Carbineer/Master Commando/0404 Pistoleer Template
You also forgot about legshot. On TC, before the nerfage of Frog weapons (when I had a 417 DPS PFT...on live I currently have a 455 DPS PFT, which is before an extra +25 generic speed since I haven't finished my template yet), I was able to get about 1740 damage about every 3 seconds with my PFT using improved legshot. Thats pretty good damage in my book, and since damage is roughly similar at CL 80...I dont want to be burdened by either having to take certain positions or long wind-ups/cool-downs right riflemen. With smuggler, yes Ill be able to get better crowd control, but I for the most part like carbineer's damage (in terms of speed, opposed to rifleman's damage)
My toolbar is laid out as followed:
The Pistoleer Stun Shot/Crippling Shot/Stopping Shot/Charge Shot/Legshot, and 1-3 other carbineer specials Im still trying out to see which compliments my arsenel for now.
A few of the carbineer specials aren't working (in terms of crowd control), or a bit redundant...those are issues that will be worked out. Chargeshot I simply love, as I dont want to be bothered switching to my RL to KD and then switch back to another weapon. My template affords me speed, damage, and crowd control as well and most importantly - Battle Armor (one of the big reasons I wanted to go MC/MC). Plus, since our AoE is NOT definite, theres chance we'll be seeing it either improved or at the very least have it full or near to it when used in conjunction with other AoE specials.
Plus as far as mods go, I do prefer mastering commando
- and I get an extra +40 accuracy, and a few more defensive range/melee mods than switching smuggler with carbineer. Its really a matter of taste; Ive always liked carbineer and always wanted to try it out. In the post-CU enviroment its not bad.
Btw, on another note - I dont *want* to have to switch guns being a commando, a reason why I like this template...

Hmm has anyone thought of SL as part of Commando's template? or any views on em?

Edit: Any views on this up and working template??? I was either thinking of sticking BH with 0030 since smuggler Low Bow i heard was bad? but i need those defence such as stun , etc ... maybe i should go with Overwhelming shot? anyhow what are your views?

Hehe Id master SL just for the E5 Carbine and Intimidator Pistol...damn those guns are cool looking
