Ivoni,

I agree with your post 110%, but again lets just look back to where it all started and the endless, endless post before this asking for changes. If having a correspondent will do us an ounce of good than I say go for it by all means, but our best response garnered by the"system" to date has unfortunately come when we had no correspondent at all and after essentially Q3PO came on here and essentially confirmed what we had known all along, that the Devs had no intention in fixing us and actually believed we were working as need be.

And lets take a closer look at the wonderful response from Holo (no offense Holocron and trust me I am still grateful for your response regardless of the edge of sarcasm in this post) and what it means to us today. Heavy Acid Rifle Certification. Ok. Hmmm. So essentially the fixing of my profession to date has boiled down to fixing a weapon certification for a weapon that is obviously underpowered and quickly overshadowed by weapons that I used to simply qualify for my current profession.

Don't get me wrong, I was happy as a pig in **edit** when I was finally able to do any damage at all and actually have a chance to make some Heavy Weapon Exp (again Flurry CANNOT make any other Heavy Weapons as it stands), but it has been over 2 weeks now and those other changes have gone by the wayside.

Iv you will have an up hill battle all the way and I myself no matter how bitter and disappointed this game makes me because they refuse not only to address but actually fix the problems that plague my profession that I busted my ass for, I and I am sure many other will support you all the way. I just can't help but be pessimistic at though.

Grenadeer fits for Flamer... Some dude posted about the exact reason but the reason is some historical thing. Grenadeer does not equate to "One who throws grenades" in ye days of olde.

As for lack of specials. There's a lack of specials all together. You get an AoE and a Single. You get no knockdown and pansy grenades that miss a lot. Well here's my solution on the weapons.

Flamethrower Knockdown with moderate damage. This won't be bad because the 70+ Health Costs on the Flamethrower. Basically discribed as "A concentrated blast of napalm to knock your opponent on their back"

Acid Rifle version of Suppresion Fire. This would be a bit more usuable in less then dire situations where the Flamethrower knockdown would reign. Described as "A large drenching of acid that causes extreme pain in the opponent knocking him to the knees." and this will have a decent damage modifier also.

Both should have a refresh slower then that of a normal attack but not the 15 seconds the others have cause these should be slightly faster more utility Skills.

Launcher Pistol should get "Guided Shot" that will be described as "Shots from the Launcher Pistol accurately aim for the weakest area of your opponent" this can be implied 2 ways, 1.) The missiles will gain armor piercing 3 looking for weak points on the armor. 2.) This will target the HAM bar with the least number of points. This of course will be a special that is commonly used and won't have a huge damage multiplier and a low HAM cost.

The 3 weapons I just described should also be the Bread and Butter utility weapons. Instead of raising damage on them, the DPS should be significantly raise (slightly above most other classes) and not do the HUGE damage you would prefer. They should also have a limited Armor Piercing if any. These are the less them specialist weapons.

The rest of the weapons (Rocket Launcher, Particle Cannons etc.) should have no, or VERY few specials and be able to out damage ANY weapon on a single blast. The refresh would be ridiculous but and the DPS not so hot, but these are your "Instant Damage" because they are expendable.

The Rocket Launcher should have a Skill called "Anti Vehicular Assault" used mostly for the AT-ST right now. But this move costs moderate HAM, has High Accuracy and High Damage but can only be used on vehicles or mechanical things. The skill will stun the AT-ST long enough for the refresh and you can do it again. This will be an Answer to the AT-ST without being completely unbalanced.

Grenades (don't yell at me for this one) should be Moderate to High Damage without so much variation and have an AoE knockdown for smaller creatures/players. The better the grenade the higher the radius and the longer/more efficient the knockdown. This would make Grenadesa high utility for this class in PvP that is otherwise meant for Heavy Infiltration. Also the closer to the center of the blast the harder it is to Avoid. On a non-moving target the Grenade blast should be unavoidable.

I have no idea how mines work so I won't go there, but they should be 1 hit destroy on AT-ST's if the Mine is powerful enough (The AT-ST steps on it and the mines blast would knock it over.) A Mines blast is under NO circumstance unavoidable, the splash should be depending on the range the Opponent is in the radius of the Explosion.

This is my take on how the weapons CAN be changed to be balanced.

DuffMonkey. Much as I appreciate your post, I'm not ready to fight for a wishlist yet.

I wanted a fixed list. Then discussion can be had about added depth and features.

We can't really have that until they answer what they expect this class to be.

From current appearances one would think we get to do the large boom with certain disadvantages for doing so.

1. No defense
2. No real specials. Just a big boom.
3. Bigger booms are consumable.
4. Lack of skills with the boom till mastery
5. Lack of free skill points. (exploration 1 = 17 points) So 60 skill points free.
6. Most amount of time for mastery required of combat classes (bh only longer cause investigation is sooo ungodly unrewarding)

We are dedicated killers. We should do more damage than any other combat class. Anyone who complains should notice we are the masters of damage (or should be) and pay the above prices

Bounty Hunter can be the fastest at it as they pay more skill points. But we should have the biggest.

Fact of the Day:

Right now, there is more Ranged and Melee Defense in the Dancer and Musician tree than in the Commando tree (+7/+7 vs +5/+5).

Go for it Ivoni. As a master commando, you can't get any more bonuses, so if you say we suck, then the devs don't have a leg to stand on in telling us otherwise.

Very good, Ivoni. Unfortunately, these things have been plaguing us very blatantly, and the devs don't even speak to us anymore. I'm worried they will remove the class completely. We've got to find a way to undermine them so that they Must do something about Commando problems. My favored, but highly unrealistic solution is to rework all skills involved with commando to make it sort of an advanced marksman/unarmed/stealth class. Take the current commando and just rename it Heavy Weapons Specialist, make Commando what it should be: something very dangerous in a Civil War. Class specific outfits/armor would be good too, give the Heavy weapons guy heavy armor, give commandos lighter armor, because they're so special they would have to use special attacks a lot. - my 2credits.
