Hey, you're more pessimistic than me!
I thought I was the Resident Cynic for the GCW & Commando Forums.

Tho, the "Jedi problem" is a big..and unfortunately immersion breaking breach in continuity
I personally think tiggs should "fix" all those jedi...
I'm afraid of steering this way off topic, but...
Having more Prequel stuff, is generally bad still, IMO.
I forsee more people flying a Jedi Starfighter (I guarantee that the devssell out and add this)than TIE Interceptors or TIE Fighters.
If the Corellian Corvette is indeed a relic of the late Republic, it is fine. Why? Because it is seen in the Original Trilogy, the first starship we see in Star Wars (next the Star Destroyer).
It may be safe to add the Droidekas & SBDs from the prequels into SWG, as leftovers from the Clone Wars. But it is still a slap to Lady Continuity. As I already said, I can readily find these Droids from a long lost war effort than an AT-AT, one of the very icons of the Original Trilogy.
I can find Republic Blasters in wider use than all these Original Trilogy iconic weaponry put together: Scout Blasters, DL44s, CDEF (Leia did use it in ANH), DH17 Carbines, and the E11s (Carbine & Rifle).
Heck, we still don't have those Rifles that the Rebels used in ESB (those modified MP44s) but I think we'll see way more Republic-era equipment soon.

Jedi, in of itself, break the game now....Not just in continuity reasons...But purely from a combat perspective...
It severely unbalances combat because it is such a strong profession. So strong, that everyone wants one. So what happens when all the FS monkeys get Jedi? PvP will be nothing but sabers. Even more than it is now. I dunno how it is on Chilastra, but on Ahazi, there are already too many Jedi.
There just is NO way for SOE/CU testers/whomever to solve the Jedi > ranged > melee > Jedi conundrum...
Other than, of course, to remove them from the game. Which isnt going to happen. The prospect of Jed sells too many accounts.

There are ways to balance them out...hopefully the devs found a system that works on the CU. Ill really hate to see a whole bunch of jedi out and about still...and sooner or later most ppl will get to be one. I agree with ya on that...
And that also makes me wish that they were taken out of the GCW...fortunately and unfortunately thats not planned atm, fortunately I say as they're focusing attention at core combat, rather than devoting even more publishes to solely jedi. Unfortunately as the jedi problem is a concern for your normal player...
And btw, when I mentioned that tiggs should "fix" them...I ment, "fix" as in...what you do with your pets. They seem to breed like bunnies...!
I agree with Starnick. I got an email several months ago supposedly from a independent survey company asking what I thought of SWG, I got a free JTL out of it, I told them I thought we needed more episode I, II and III content. Why not.
Our military still uses Vietnam era fighters for ground support and electronics jamming. The Marines still used a Vietnam era tank until Desert Storm when they got the Abrams M-1 and the M-1A3 was out. We have carriers over 40 years old. You can still find a lot of WWII Jeeps in Europe.
Granted these things don't work as well as the replacements. F4 Phantom II was the best in Vietnam but couldn't hold a candle to the F-18 SuperHornet or F-22 coming soon to a base near you. Should the ships from Episode III heck no. But I still think we should be able to find them even if they do fly like a Z-95. Clone armor might be the worst armor out there.
As for not finding an AT- AT how many have seen the M-16A4 or used one. They are out there. Just using our planet as an example.
For those not into weapons an Extreme edition P-4 is pretty hard to find sometimes too. So some of the analogies being used don't quite work when you think about supply and demand IRL. The Jedi well that is something different I think there should be force sensitivity but few Jedi.
I am excited to see what the new content will be and thankyou for your support. ![]()
