That is so lame, those titles are the ones from beta before the commando tree was changed around.

It used to be the tree on the left was just for nades, next over was the heavy weapons, all of them in one branch. Next i cant remember and the last was the crafting stuff that we used to have (personally i thought it was so dumb)

I think that you need to send that info to the Devs Commando spokesman guy. Those titals need to be changed.

Thinking something like..... Grenader for the grenade brach (thats fine right?)Artillary man or something

Burninator for the flame branch and i cant really think of anything for the acid rifle.... maybe King Acid Rifles

Since SoE is revamping the skill tree, I hope this doesn't throw our learned commando skills out of wack

So what profession is the Mercenary Title connected to....you'd think it'd be Commando.

I hit Novice commando a few days ago and all I have is the launcher pistol.....the devs haven't graced Radiant with some of the resources yet, although the last rotation did have the Durinium and Cubirian steel I needed. I hope the devs realize heavy weapons are supposed to be just that...big, slow, powerful as all hell. I actually had a guy feel sorry for me for sticking with Commando. This is not what I had hoped. I am not the walking death machine everyone wants to group with, I am the lag machine that generates 1000 pity xp per second.

and while I'm moaning and groaning, might as well ask a common sense question......why do our weapons do such pathetic damage? shouldn't HW's be extreme overkill on creatures and people....like one-shot kills. Common sense says I shoot a rocket launcher at a soldier they end up mopping him up with a sponge, or blow a 3ft crater in the side of a Huf Dun. Not to mention the psychological effects of seeing your friends melted with acid or head blown off by a well placed grenadeorroasted alive. Just today, I grouped with a medic with 3rd tier rifle skills, he had the best rifle he could find, I had the best Launcher pistol I could find.....I would hit for 40-200 damage, he would hit for 500-1600 damage...EXCUSE ME?!?! a baking powder...granted the 1600 was rare but come on. I'm not sayingmake me super man, but gimme a fighting chance. That and turn down the launcher effects a tad.

But being the glutton for punishment I am, I am not going to respec my character.....sooner or later the devs gotta realize just what a Commando should be....a highly dangerous and respected elite profession with a12-pack of whoop-ass for anyone.

phew..i feel better now

That fits with bounty hunter

But why do we get ill fitting titles

i think something like

Field Tactcian, Grenadeer(duh come on a tree devoted to 'nades doesnt get a title like that) I personally think that the Tactician should get bonuses to mies like adding a small amount of damage or giving them a greater range but thats me.

Heavy Weapons, I honestly dont know...Oh how about putting artillerygunner or whatever the Field tactician is now

Flamethrower, Pyro Technician

Acid Rifle, Chemical Specialist

How well does the pistol whip work? I can't decide on whether go go with some tera kasi which I've been playing with lately and have filled out severallevels on alreadyor pistoleer as a means to get a knockdown skill.. I think the knockdown ability is a must but also heard all the rumbling about the nerf'd version of the pistol whip. TKA knockdown works well, even with the first level knockdown I was able to beat a week old rancor pet by using unarmed hit2 in between knockdowns along with dizzy, blind..etc.

Also, does the launcher pistol do significantly more damage as you procede through the pistol accuracy, accuracy while standing, accuracy whilerunning and other pistolmodifiers?

TKA is fun, but the down time gets old. I can't decide which way to go with it.

Also, did you have enough skill points to get any scouting? From what I remember running up and down hills is a sloooow process without the terrain management modifieres.

Bounty hunter doesn't get mercenary that I know...they should...but instead that title is reservered for...get this... Carbineer?

**edit** lol

I do recall seeing a couple of titles that were shared by a couple of professions...I think one was Hunter which you get for Hunting IV in the scout tree and Investigation IV in the BH tree....which makes absolutely no sense at all since there is an Investigator title for BH....in the Underworld tree I think lol

And yes, Ordinance Manufacturer is a ridiculous title for a Commando since we no longer craft grenades/powerups.

If you go to the test center, by opening cntr+s and looking at all of the tier IV branches , it now shows the Title you recieve for mastering that branch.

Hope this helps

I moved up the pistoleer skill tree some since my last post on this thread and answered my own question however I did not move up the accuracy mods tree on pistoleer thus far, just the different shots.I am also seeing a large variation in the damage but with the stop shot the damage is pretty huge, more than twice what you posted.

I'm hoping that with some of the pistoleer accuracy modifiers that it will do damage at a more stable rate rather than anywhere from 600 to 1600. That's right, 1629 was my first shot fired with the launcher pistol after gettingstop shot!
