Flamecone2 is very accurate,
- Really? On what basis are you saying this? Experience or just random observations? I could post you all my MISSES if you would like. I mean, hey, I'm only a master commando who always /kneels, /aim and then uses my specials. What would I know right?

and getting within 16m in pvp is very easy.
- This is true. Burst run or just dogged persistance. Of course there's the fact I autofollow my target. Golly, what a concept.

I think it's sad that we have to defend ourselves from the nerf cries by telling people how to kill us

You shouldn't even respond to posts like these, The devs will decide what happens, and players have their input through the correct channels e.g. correspondents, etc.

No-one will ever give an unbiased answer until they have been on both sides of the argument. So really it's just pointless...

TipsyMcStagger9:

A T21 is far more powerfull than a Flamethrower. I always work in a group with 3-5 Riflemen, and they drop enemys like flies. I 've seen them do the same damage i do, as AoE, just like Flamecone2, with deavstating effect, every 3 seconds, with deadly accuracy. By what mean sdo you judge your calls to increase our HAM costs?

Staying out of range is simple enough- unless you're a brawler.

I really don't think there's a problem with the commando class, but actually just the stupidness of the brawler profession in general.

3k of damage to any brawler would decimate them, no matter how its put, and the brawler doesnt have the option of "staying out of range." I don't think the commando class should be nerfed, the brawler's should have a boosted defense just to be able to stand a chance at all. If holocron agrees that "Don't bring a knife to a blaster fight" then why is brawler in the game in the first place? Cannon fodder? I think Ill go complain in the brawler profession boards for a little while.

fredrick you are forgetting about the melee weapon modifers the heavy weapons are recieving. Lets recalculate the 3000 damage and see how much it would do to a brawler. First we know that it is getting the rifle bonus on this 3000 shot so that 3000/2.5 with out the bonus.that gives us 1200. Now if the rifle men was prone that a 2 time modifer so the actual would be 1200/2=600. Now lets factor in armor rating assuming its resist heat. 300 damage now factor in 20% resist you 240 damage. Factor in speed and a possible miss you get a commando who is in a bunch of trouble without support.

Tactics for brawlers to deal with flamethrower.

wear armor

dont stand near friends

dont burst run till after he has fired.

laugh real hard as you knock him down and get 1.5*2*3 modifer to damage.

Commando invinicble no.

Commando a strong group member yes.

I must have killed 20-30 people last night in Anchorhead during a raid us imps had. I just ran out, did my flame single..they either died or ran off and died of the DoT..i only missed once or twice i believe. This is mostly because it was all close quarters fighting..i would run up to somebody firing..stand next to them..flame single..then run away and hide behind a building until the Flame single icon went away in my que..then come back out and do it again.

It was great

Seriously....

Why are newbies shouting NERF when commando weapons' weaknesses are so blatantly obvious?

STAY OUT OF RANGE

The devs tested our new damage stats for over two weeks, the T21 argument is meaningless. Three hotfixes in two days = you've got nothing on commando.

That even proves what the devs were saying, that they shy away from using hotfixes at all, because that's what happens, proven by the T21 hullaballoo.

50cr to any nerf herder who can prove to a commando why his attacks are unbalanced, without getting his sh*t ruined by simply not researching the profession.
