I haven't tried any other methods of crafting a nice launcher, but I did make 4 launcher pistols with +56 damage, -.56 speed gorax bones and used it solely last night in pvp... With my friends (Master BH and Master Swordsman) we killed 4 different jedi a total of 7 times and several of their tef'r lackies as well. My template is Master Commando (in hopes that the combat revamp is kind to us...) Smuggler Pistols IV, BH Pistols IV. There is no greater way to destroy jedi than to have your MBH buddy dizzy them then Panic Shot delay, Low Blow kd, then spam eyehot with a good launcher. I was truly amazed at how fast their minds died. Far and away the most successful run the three of us have ever had. Just thought I'd drop my 2 cents in and recommend a really fun template to use with your new Gorax Launcher pistol!!!

I have a 632 max pup'd Launcher... now that's a damn terror.

Mine was only (ha!) 492 max and Ioutdamaged a master rifleman in the geo caves on crazys useing SS2.Do you have any idea how hard it is to outdamage a speed capped rifleman? (I don't know if the guy I outdamaged was speed capped or not so...) My alt is a speedcapped Master Rifleman Master Doctor with a 700 max T21. I can outdamage three swordsmans on the acklay (I have, ask -oliver- or schala)

anyway, back to Launchers, that thing is Fine...but really, how did you get 632? that would take, what? a 200 max Gorax shard?

yah, that's pretty nice. I've got a gorax launcher that PUPS to 518, which I thought was pretty good.

He won't have been speed capped. 95% of the time, the only thing that can outdamage a speed capped MRM is another speed capped MRM. I outdamaged a group of about 10 on a Krayt once. Just me, alone. Can't wait for the CU.

I never take Mike- (that's my rifleman alt) hunting Krayts because I can NEVER get them to spawn

As to supplyers on Gorath, talk to me, (mike- or Mike') I have a wide range of Good Launchers ranging from 430 with pups to 492with pups. I'll be on in about... let's see, 4 or 5 hours.I have about7 launchers of that caliber and I'm sure I could part with one or two for the right price. (I also have about 6 more speed sliced ones, if you happen to be going for speed, that pup to about 360 (guess) max with under 2 speed, one as low as 1.3 speed)

Other than that I sugjest you try and find your own Gorax shards. ones with stats high enough to get the base needed for a good slice to put them into the 450s range (about 70-90)go for around 100-300k... and then you have to get the right slice... (all of mine are sliced).

anyway, talk to me and ignore how long winded I can be. I guess I got that from Garv.

Artoc, I took my MC out to hunt the Gorax with my Guild and we had 3 Swordsmen and 3 Master Rifles They were all stacking mind.. Well I dont have a mind hit so I was stacking my four flames on the Gorax and I was keeping pace with them lol! So we all started stacking health.. the Gorax died many times that night and quickly.

Just built my new gorax launcher tonight with some great shards that I bought from an auction over on Bloodfin trade. The shards went for 1 million each on buyout (and all 10 sold within minutes...) My guildmate and I were both fortunate enough to catch one each. We made two launchers with the following original stats:

first

1211 condition

2.5 speed

74-352 dmg

41.4% wounding

+51 accuracy

34/68/34 HAM

second

1172 condition

2.5 speed

74-358 dmg

40.8% wounding

+51 accuracy

35/68/34 HAM

We then sliced both of them, the first getting a 22% dmg slice (not the greatest percentage, but at least its dmg!!!), and the second was a 30% dmg slice! So the first one, without pup, now is 90-429 dmg. BTW, this one is currently being auctioned on the bloodfin trade boards by kenseideathbringer. The second, now my pvp weapon, is now 96-465 dmg without a pup. When I add the pup, it stands at 110-619 dmg. Needless to say we are planning a few more gorax hunts in hopes of catching another drop like the one these guys did!!!
