It's a sad sad day for everyone, (just goes to show thedifference between idiots and good mature players)

Being near Master Rifleman I can really sympathize with you guys, this was the last thing I expected to happen, thus making the problem of 2.5x melee damage worse, by adding this to your class it simply means that it's not going away anytime soon! which really sucks! I wouldn't wish the 2.5x on anybody its a POORLY implemented lame attempt at class balance, if they are going to have it in the game as they have shown us they want it ingame, then every ranged classshould have it. I'd prefer it removed altogether or lessend to more desirable amounts.

Hopefully with two classes now infected, maybe we can ALL unite and express our disagreement with this, more voices shout, maybe some of those voices are heard.

posts, there are actually quite a number of riflemen, either siding with us, or telling the other to be more respectful/not be gleeful in others who have been dumped in the same boat.

Truly, the Master Warrior realizes that nothing in the universe is forever: the pendulum has swung the other way but it is bound to swing back our way sooner or later. Inthe meantime, be calm, quiet, and respectful ( I am not in any way accusing anyone of acting otherwise). Let the members of other professions who choose do so, (not all do, just as one color is not representative of the entire rainbow, a few Rifleman do not represent the entire Rifleman community), laugh at us, insult us, etc. all they want if that is what they feel they need to do while we work hard to learn and maintain an aura of quiet humility and respectfulness. In this way, they will expose themselves as the fools while we will be remembered as the True Masters.

Romana, not because it matters, but because I hate the idea of being thought of as a bandwagoner... I was quiet on the forums pre-patch, only a few posts, because, as a casual player, I was a big noob, and I was slowly working toward commando... even since I read the manual. I actually made commando 3 days before the big patch, and will stay with commando until I cancel my account.

Heh, don't know how soon that will be.

Please don't get the wrong idea Ath, I was not calling you a bandwaggoneer or stating there's -anything- wrong with having joined commando lately. There are some on this forum who disagree, but I'm not one of them.

Just went over and checked on that sad 'Commandos now suffer fromt he 2.5 mod like we do! Does this make anyone else laugh?' (the popular one over there) thread one more time. Seems there is more than one rifle user defending you people and bashing the immature (Donobot, LecheHombre, AuxZillary, Ee-dwana, eq_mind_wipem, and Waste93 on just the first page).

They are. I just frankly doubt there's anything "better" to be seen from them at this point.

Just remember, the commando community isn't free of these types either (especially with commando being one of the popular PvP classes right now and the type of person that gravitates towards that environment).

You're right in this. Of course, one place where it HASN'T been true is here on the commando boards. The commando COMMUNITY has not behaved in anyway but supportive frienship to you. The commando's who make up our community.... MrHeavy, Ivonni, Theedage, MasterSynn and so many others I can't even begin to name, the bedrock of the commando profession, have always supported you. On the rifleman forum today, the pillars of YOUR community have chosen to behave atrociously.

That I can't comment on. I don't live on these boards (go look at my post count for proof of that). I didn't even open this forum until I read about the 2.5x damage addition. Yes, there are many, many immature people that seem to be coming out of the wood work right now. Don't blame everyone for the actions of these people. Yes, beat on those individuals all you want, but don't go insult the ones who are neutral or in support of you on this issue.

Sorry Touryn.....I tried very hard not to get offended and keep an open mind. Unfortunately the more vocal members of your community have permanantly soured me (even though my best friend is a Master Rifleman). Out of respect to you and others with sense I will politely remain neutral and not try to sabotage your efforts to get balanced....but personally....its over! Don't come crying here when you get kicked between the legs by the Devs......the Commando forum is now hostile ground to all rifleman.

Its a shame too.....we WILL get this removed from us (it was unintended and a hotfix side-effect). We could have just as easily argued for the modifier to be moved to stances and stood united....but now we will probably just watch out for ourselves. We don't need your help anymore....Thank you, Drive through.

Just read your last post in the Rifleman forum and I can understand it completely. It is really unfortunate that a small number of vocal, abrasive individuals can sour entire communities. It's good to see at least some people won't lash out at the entire community for the actions of the few. If there is anything in my (very, very limited) power to help you, just ask.

I will be a gentleman in the forums (except my call-to-arms)...but a demon in game for awhile. It adds some much needed flavor and finally gives me the reason to PvP abit (hasn't had any appeal to me before). I'm sure things will normal off after awhile, but at the moment tempers are hot and its hard to be polite.

I'm curious. What makes you think it was unintended?
