just an example of my template
Master Rifleman, Novice commando with the flame line, and pistoleer with about stance 4 (for speed and extra melee def) and tech 3 for stopping shot. Get some of the accuracy line if you can. Keep novice medic.

i prefer creature handler but that is just me.
if you want to harvest to sell the resources then ranger harvesting4
if you want to make animals BE
if you want to control and tame CH
if you want to use other weapons you can master carbine or pistol
you can also almost master doctor or CM

just about any crafting profession.
lots of things go with rifle just pick somehting you want to do.
the only things you cant master along with rifle are **edit** few.
