Dark Troopers are really tall and have three letters in their names (as opposed to the two letters that normal Stormtroopers have). Note that the troopers with dark armor are NOT Dark Troopers. Dark Troopers have white armor.

well almost anywhere some one Naboo , found 3 on Rori lastnight, Dantoonie:: they are mainly random spawns.

Emperors retreat is about 2k West of Moenia, but why bother? I'm sure SOE nerfed the holo drop rate because of all the Jedi hopefuls are now trying even harder.

What better way to keep everyone grinding longer, hence paying more monthly fees?

Ok, on corellia, will garm keep giving you dark trooper missions, or does he stop eventually. At the moment I've gotten none, and i've done a good ammout of missions for him...just curious.

IM a master CM, i just use a powerfull mind posion, run, wait 2 min walk back shoot it a few times and hes dead

I've killed em as a BH(my original choice of proffession)Send in my GSP one or two Lighting Single 2s and that's all she wrote.

Killed em as a Master Pistoleer (Holocron proffession number 2) Send in my GSP and Fanshot til crispy.

Killed em as a Teras Kasi Master (my fourth Holocron) Power boost, chug some Breath of Heaven (if you don't know what it is ask a chef then try some out, you'll thank me) thenbeat the snot out of em (Knockdown 2, Warcry then a couple of Unarmed hit 3s is all it takes) Pets schmets. I love TKM! Thank you Mr. Holocron!

no pets just master pistoleer/smuggler. keep em off guard with lowblows and panic shots, while using stopping shot last ditch and fanshot for damage. if things get too hairy feign death.

SOE is not stupid, they have made some bad desicions, but they know how to keep people playing. Ive been here since launch+3 and despite a 2 week hiatus awhile back. Ill be playing hard for along time to come.

there are various possibilities how to solo a dark trooper...

the easiest and fastest one is doing novice pistoleer + creature handler (taming1 and training 1) and send in your pet (e.g. Kliknik defender) while attacking the guy who attacks your pet...

a novice medic would do good too....

but for your information:

every elite brawler profession (tka, swordsman, pikeman)

bounty hunter

pistoleer

smuggler

creature handler

commando

rifleman

etc.. every fighting class on elite basis can do a dark trooper...

I solo Dark Troopers all day long doing Garm's missions.

I am a Rifleman 2-1-1-1 (use a laser rifle or T21) and I have no problems whatsoever. I lay prone at 60m and mindshot2, then headshot with maybe a dizzy shot or something else in my combat cue. I send out my cowardly gurrek to distract the DT after 2 shots and I kill him after 4 shots or so. The Storm Commandos like to kite my pet so they are a bit harder to kill, but the DT's like to melee my pet, so they die fast.

Oh yeah, I typically call my pet back so the DT runs toward me to die so I don't have to run into his friends to loot.

Hope that helps. I'm mainly a crafter and only have rifle for combat.
