prices for things will increase because looping macros will be taken out? not even remotely true... do you think armor smiths make thier armor by hand? every bit of it? they use factories, same with chefs, tailors, doctors!
Its not like were stick in the past before the industrial revolution...

Ok so your upset because people will no longer be able to AFK grind out their professions? Crafters will now start charging an arm and a leg because they cant craft macro? You're upset because now you have to make a longer combat macro?
1. AFK grinders are violating the EULA and should be banned.
2. As a master weaponsmith macro's have little if nothing to do with the creation of my product.
3. Get creative and make better choices in combat. By using a macro you're establishing predictable combat routines. Sooner or later this will bite you in the ass.
All removing recursive macro's will do is make people more invested in what they're doing. If they don't like the game because now they cant gain progress while they're off at school or what have you then they will leave. Since they really were not playing the game to begin with it's no great loss (thats my sparkling generality for the post)

Ummmm... ok, this is about the seventh "OMG WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE WITHOUT RECURSIVE MACRO'S!!!" post I've seen in the past couple days, and I have lost the will to smack another one down, I will say the following
1) I don't use loot macro's and I seem to do fine
2) I don't use any combat macro's, and everything I fight seems to get killed just fine
3) To those commando's that do use recursive macro's..... why? I it that hard to put whatever you want into a non-recursive macro and just press a key every once in a while?
Like seriously I must be in the minority, I put all my armour on one piece at a time, FROM MY INVENTORY SCREEN!!
I have /aim in my toolbar, and when I use it I gotta press shft-f3! then I gotta press another toolbar key for my attack!!!
When I loot I actually gotta dbl-click/`1 whatever I'm looting! It hasn't killed me yet!

I really can't understand why people are so desperate to master professions in 2 days. I mastered Droid Engineer without ever even touching a looping macro. The only macro I used is one that would start the station and select the schematic, when I pushed the button that was bound to the macro. Droid Engineer is not an easy thing to grind, and it did take me about 2 months. 1 day a week I would grind out one box of DE, maybe2 if I was in a really grindy mood.
But of course, everyone wants to be master, and be master NOW. I swear, I would just love to whack the devs with a huge hammer for making Jedi obtained by grinding professions..... hopefully Pub. 10 will fix that.
Really, this is a good thing. No more AFK entertainers spamming "Heal me, give me money!". No more AFK spammers shouting 'Buy my crap" or "Visit my vendor! (even though when you get there you'll find 4 items and a bunch of crappyloot)". Granted, some AFK macros are useful (buffbots are usefull when you play at odd hours of the day, trying to get Surveying XP while actually being there is like watching grass grow, ect), but all in all, you shouldn't be able to get anywhere in the game if you aren't there doing something.
Oh no, you'll now have to push Ctrl+Backspace to clear your combat que manually before you can use CoB, its so difficult! Oh no, you'll have to manually hit ~1 when something dies, or hit your loot macro button at the right time instead of having the infinate loot macro where you can get it a split second after it dies, heaven forbid! Target selection, what? Who even uses a macro to select a target. What your really worried about is that you won't be able to sit in a spawn of thugs, with an auto-combat macro on and get free XPwhile you aren't even there. Jeez people, if you don't want to play through the game to get your XP, don't play the game at all.

This is pretty funny to me. I only started playing SWG just recently, but when I did I saw that recursive macros were not only possible, but permissable, and flipped out. Recursive macros are in all forms an exploit and should never have been included in the game to begin with. This is the reaction you get when you give a kid a toy and then take it away. WAAAAAHHHH! Play the game! How is it enjoyable in any way to let the game play itself for you?

"LOOT MACRO? GONE!!!
TARGET SELECTION? GONE!!!"
Slicer17 must be one of those guys you see outside Coronet's starport shooting meatlumps while afk.
I don't see loop macros affecting profs like commando, rifleman, pistoleer but somewhat involved with melee with CoB and BH with weapon switches (though that's irrelevant with delay now). There'll be noticably fewer entertainers and tumblers but those crafters and anti-idle AFK'ers will just write very long macros.

OH give me a break! your too damn lazy to double click on the dead corpses? how does this hit commandos hard? commandos do not need macros, we dont need COB, looting and all that crap. The only thing this nerf hits hard are the entertainers because they actaully have to stay at the keyboard to level up, and this also hits the lazy asses who dont do anything by them selves and depend on macros which to me ruins the game. stop yer bitching and get a clue. if you dont like the changes the devs make and get that upset about them i have a tip for you...DONT PLAY AND DO US ALL A FAVOR AND STOP COMPLAINING!
