I totally agree. I've been playing Commando for some time and everytime it gets changed, I feel more and more disgusted with the profession. Why is it that we are so weak in comparison to some professions that really shouldn't be that hardcore? And to anyone who debates this, I was with an entire SQUAD of commandos( whom except for me were multiple master; ie MC/TKA, MC/MEDIC, ect) WITH CM and RM and CH and all of the commandos....EVERY...LAST ....ONE....were slaughtered.....by turrets. The player characters mopped up the rest of the goof troop (our own name). It was a sad event and we really burned alot of bridges TRYING to do some PvP and get us and a few other guilds together. Now everyone kinda does their own thing cuz no one wants to be humilated like that.
I'm currently going for TKA and after that...well, we'll see. It's just so disappointing to hear about this game and the professions and selecting one to be your goal, not running around and holo grinding and soon Quest grinding for Jedi, but being happy with the idea of "Death-in-Boots"; my guildies and friends along the way that helped me do it the right way and not cheat or macro ( ie afk in front of a meatlump spawn or use my creature to kite aggros in) but really going out there into the boonies and having so little actual affect...why bother? Can or will the Devs respond to this or the hundreds of other questions asked by like commandos- probably not. But just on the off chance that TH or one of the others do happen to read this or the many, many, MANY posts by concerned players, YO! GIVE US SOME HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To my other commando-ites, I feel you guys, maybe we can be what we should have been from the begining- THE elite trooper on the field that gets things dead or done.

Im not saying it makes sense. The devs are notorious for doing retarded things. Just do me a favor and test it for yourself. Get a chest piece or a helmet that is vulnerable to stun then picke either a fencer or a rifleman and have them attack that specific pool. Have them fire a number of shots so you get an idea what the normal damage range is, then unequip that piece of armor and have them do it again. The problem with the paragraph that you quoted is that is ONLY applies to armor that has either special or effectiveness resistances for that damage type.
Go read the Jedi boards about their light saber damage.
What I am saying is so true it is not even funny. Why do you think we hit Mokks for 10k+ damage with a flame single when they have light armor? It's because they are vulnerable to heat.
In PvP I hit unarmored opponents for 1-2k+ with flame single 2 because they are vulnerable to heat.
Understand that I am a numbers geek. If I don't understand how something works I am going to play with it until I do. I can tell you the formula for DPS, for how fast yourprimary stats recharge based on your secondary stats, how much damage your armor will take based on how much damage you take. I can't stand not knowing something and even when some one else gives me the formula I will still test it out to see if they are right. It is possible that I am completely wrong about this but until I see someone post proof that I am wrong I am going to stick with the results of my tests.
