Many of us read yesterday (Test Center update as well as in this forum) that the Hit/Miss formula was tweaked a bit...

I need to collect some data on this and how it affects us, especially since we, comparatively, have one of the lowest accuracy abilities of the various ranged professions...

So if you are a Commando on TC, go attack a mob/lair (or mobs/lairs) and then come back and let me know the following (you can just post here if you like or PM me)...

  • What Level Commando are you on TC?

  • What is the rest of your template?

  • WhatMob/Lair did you attack?

  • How often did you hit/miss your target mob? (out of 10 shots for example)

  • How often did you hit/miss the actual lair? (out of 10 shots for example)

  • Do notice a significant or slight change from how your hit/miss totals felt before the change?

I'm going to do some testing of my own tonight and take our data back to the Devs/Programmers for investigation...I'm trying to help investigate whether this change is more or less beneficial to low accuracy and low defense professions...

Thanks...

  • What Level Commando are you on TC? Master Commando

  • What is the rest of your template?0-0-0-1 Rifleman 4040 Scout

  • WhatMob/Lair did you attack? Dragon lair (don't remember the exact name but lower than a Dragonette but higher than a scyk)

  • How often did you hit/miss your target mob? (out of 10 shots for example) 3/10 hit to miss ratio

  • How often did you hit/miss the actual lair? (out of 10 shots for example) using flame single and flame cone 2 was only hitting for2 out of 3 shots, this also included using point blank area 1 on the lair.

  • Do notice a significant or slight change from how your hit/miss totals felt before the change? Accuracy has gone down significantlysince the patch I had never missed hitting a lair before. And really there is no reason to miss a stationary target if your also stationary.

I just hope this isn't a preview of the Combat Balance is going to look like, because right now it doesn't look like a Balance coming, it looks like a huge Combat Nerf. And since its already come out that Armor is getting "nerfed", it would be safe to assume that weapons and other skills are getting nerfed as well.

But I fear the devs are trying to force everyone to group up to do most any type of combat, which IMO is not a good thing. I bought the game and pay my $14.95 a month, and I should be able to play the game the way I want to. Now I'm not saying people should be able to solo the Corvette, of some of the other high end dungeons, but what i'm saying is, if I want to run some missions from a Mission or Factional Terminal I should be able to,without having to form a group.

I don't know it this is a preview of anything or another reactionary change stemming from something they say thanks to the Jedi Revamp...

As for the lair issue...many of us Correspondents have responded to that one (and one of the reasons for the test request)...we all agree that there is no reason to ever miss on a lair and are requesting the devs chage this...

Haven't missed lairs today, and have pretty decent accuracy with aim + flamecone1 at FT II, so maybe it was reverted or fixed.
