Actually, neither one of those gives HW xp. If you go find a low level mob or a baby mob, hit it with Health2 while prone and the then quit fighting. The mob shouldn't agro on you, and will die once the DoT hits. However, you will not get xp for it. I've had this happen a few times. If you hit it with a couple of Bodyshots or normal attacks from the LP, then the xp is given as normal.
If you hit them with /suppressionfire1 from the LP, you still get Pistol xp though.
