I think the Melee Spinning Storm of Doom should cause the Commando to be dizzied. That would make more sense, since he did just spin. Higher levels of this would decrease chance to be dizzied/dizzy time.

Thoughts? Comments?
That's pretty much the way I've been advocating the addition of unarmed commando moves since... I started advocating the addition of unarmed commando moves, so no disagreement here.
On multiplayer, you have to see someone using melee with the Rocket Launcher. Single best combat move in the game.
Though that was fun, I disagree... Bashing someone with the flag in CTFis much more satisfying.
As to what I'd like to add:
- Overhand Weapon Slam - Uses whatever weapon you are holding (Is there really any reason to make a seperate move for each of our different weapon types?) and slams the target over the head, knocking them too the ground. (Inspired by the Halo overhand weapon slams for melee attacks
)
- Sideswipe - Slaps the enemy across the face with the bulk of whatever weapon you have equiped, causing the target to become dizzy and disoriented. Since this attack occurs in an arc in front of the commando, it has the potential to hit multiple targets.
- Dirt-throw -The commando flingssand/dirt from the ground into the enemies eyes, causing little/no damage but inflicting a blind state. This special ability works regardless of what weapon is equiped. This attack has the potential to hit multiple targets in an arc in front of the commando.
- Body Slam - The commando flings himself full force into the target, causing them to become stunned, works regardless of what weapon is equiped.
Upon further reflection, I'm actually starting to like the idea of having our ranged weapons provide our standard damaging shots and moves, with our unarmed abilities coming into play as utilitarian skills in the heat of battle. What do you all think?

Great ideas. I like them working with the HWs equipped. Makes more sense than taking time to drop a weapon which is a big expensive club so you can pull a knife...

exactly...we need UA IV as a pre-req...but under no circumstances would any "dirty" unarmed moves would fit...in smuggler yes as they use pistols...but in a class that's a heavy infantry? heck no...
btw I also like the refinement of the melee moves too
