What better to lay down suppression fire with, then a freaking FLAMETHROWER or ACID GUN.
"Yah, ok guys. Get ahead of me and I'llkeep the enemy at bayby shooting my flames and acid riiiight over your heads. You don't have to worry, these guns don't do any damage anyways."
Marksman makes no sense for commandos. Not like an acid gun or flamethrower are anything like laser rifles.
