Quit being idiotic and ask yourself if you, assuming you have no real medical training: "CouldI figure out how to roll around on the ground to put out a fire.?" Of course you could! Comparing this to medical abilities to stop bleeding is not a good comparison at all.
The worst argument was not having water on Tatooine, and therefor not eveyone could put out the fire. That was just plain stupid. I am sorry guys but I understand the desire to have something to put out fire, and I am in favor of it. However making that skill limited to the one profession that probably has never had to deal with fire is just silly. Let's think logically and come up with a better solution than turning the tumbling skill into an anti-flame skill.
Having an extinguish command at master medic might be cool. (master CM seems a bit extreme) Or maybe have artisans capable of crafting fire extinguishers. Then these could be used by anyone. Yes, that does nerf it a bit, but only in a logical way that I would have a hard time arguing against. Possibly if a fire extinguisher could never be used on yourself, this would make even more sense and would work out gameplay-wise.
See your all looking at it wrong they need to make a fireman class that has the ability to put out fires
The fireman would be good with an axe or a polasky and could climb ladders really really fast.
As a side note in PvP they could extinguish people who were on fire.
See the thing is, we're saying that Napalm is launched from Flamethrowers, which is in some sense true... But Bounty Hunters TOO can cause a Burn, what the hell are they shooting?
So we still need something, before the Nerf Herders try to destroy burn... We need something... And It's a solution that still keeps burn useful... Anything IS better then nothing.
You can put out the flames by jumping in the water... There ya go, free way of stopping the dot (which you can't do with bleed) by yourself. No help, no skill necessary..

Well people with first aid 2 are the only ones who can stop bleeding...how is this any different
Should something be able to be done in every proffesion in game? Whats the point of taking another profession then if one already has it...
