Thread: Commando is the biggest joke in the Game!

Due to the horrible nature of a pure commando in PvP..i gave it up...and due to its horrible nature without artificial stilts in PvE..im now 0/3/0/4 in TKA...


Commando is equalivent to 2 and 1/4 proffessions, while elites are equal to only 1 and 1/4 proffession...even if they master another elite proffession thats only 2.5 proffession equalivence


at Master..we're 2.25, an elite with 2 masters...2.5...so yeah, two elites should outdo a commando a bit...but the biggest problem atm...the commando that is equal to 2.25 proffessions is worse off than a single elite proffession...while two elite mastered players (only 1/4 more skill pts..) are 3-4 times more effective than us..yet take only 25% more skill points


This at all does not make sense...

Dueling is one thing.....trying to stright up kill another player is different. I dont flame when I duel....I dont duel. I am a TKA Master and a Master Commando which is great when taking on someone that is declared. But when I duel I will only flame them if they are trying to give me wound points.......therefore they get a over load of wound points when I flame them.

Garvin I always read your posts. You are absolutly right. I left the game for a while and now I am come back......only to see that my oh so favorite profession is getting the short of end of the stick. Something needs to be done or they might as well just get rid of Commando all together. When reading the actual description of the profession we are led to believe that a Commando can be a walking tank.........what happend DEV's what happend?

I'm Master Tka, Master Commando and I never use the commando skills in pvp because they just don't do enough damage, my RL misses way to much and does minimal damage to a fully buffed opponent, same with grenades. The FT does ok, but if your close enough to use the special then using melee skills is the better choice. This being said I'm suprised at how many other proffesions complain about their lack of power in pvp encounters, most of them have a KD and dizzy, blind, stun etc specials they can use at 65m. we have squat when it comes to ranged attacks. Commando is a gimp in pvp right now, If your smart you will use a secondary proffesion to pvp until the combat balance.

yea, commando is not a great stand alone PvsP profession. As a matter of fact, it sucks pretty bad, most of time if I can get a KD/dizzy (with 2h sword doesn't happen alot) I will flame single 2 while thier down. but otherwise I get eaten alive as a commando. but in PvsE I love it, and since I do that 98% of the time, I am happy with it.

The Grind is easy I did it in 2 days its not slow or Dreaded and i still win my fair share of duels

I am Master Commando/TKM and nothing is better than KD - Flame2 - Then Cone2 Yeah 2 seperate DOT's going there Make for a quick duel most the time

I put up with commando long enough ... now that I have master tk i realize just how half ass they have made commando. I am going to be slowly dropping commando in favor of fencer.

I'm currently at Commando 3/4/4/4 and TKA 4/2/4/4. I should be picking up Master Commando first then TKM somewhat soon. If Commando doesn't get fixed in the C.Balance like it should, then I'll have to drop it and get something like Carbineer or Fencer.

I like commando for the most part, but I don't PVP as much as I would like, mainly because I like twitch based combat (FPS all the way), but in PVE I enjoy commando...but once I master it I'm going smuggler, I've just grown tired of the commando... I've had pistoleer since August and still haven't grown tired of that, but commando just isn't fun for me anymore.

what you need in pvp is a really stupid damage type called stun. Amazing how a stun damage weapon does WAY more damage than say a napalm blast or blaster shot, but whatever the dev's know what they are doing.

I just love it when Combat medics tell me that I am a support profession, while they are a frontline profession......Jupp...4 boxes of combat sure got them frontline duty..while we have...41(?) boxes of combat skills..and we are a support profession....



Oh well...Combat medics burn nicely when I hit them...and if they wear no armor and forgot to buff up....
