Thread: Hello all. Hows commando?
The more detailed segment is in the commando guide, that just got pushed back a little longer due to the need of amending a certain section...

Hrm...
I take it that something is about to change for us, then...
Here's the million dollar question(s), though:
Is it anything that we asked for, for a change?
Will we actually like whatever the devs have done to/with it?
Couple that with this being hell week for me academically, as we get closer to the weekend I'll be pressed for time too.
Coupled with your comment about being extremely happy today and not giving out anything else, though, methinks you may know something thatwe don't.
Stupid NDA. ![]()

whatcha use then as a commando carbineer? plasma flame thrower? proton rifle?
As a true Master Commando, you will always use your Heavy Weapons.
The thing with Commando is that your Hvy.Weapons have inherent blast radii / cones / AOEs and inherent abilities to land states. Other than pure damage specials, you might want to use a "state" or "control" special with certain weapons and their AOE effects.
Another thing with Commando who has Carbineer, Pistoleer, or a bunch of "control / state" specials is that you have to consider which weapons will best apply the states you want in the fight.
The Flamethrowers (Plasma at Master) have a cone attack and are short ranged, for example. You have a slight chance to land a DOT on the target. However, use Carbineer's Impr.Crippling Shot (Snare), and you have a chance to land a good Snare on every target in the cone. Impr.Crippling Shot by normal means is a single target attack.
The Proton Rifle is supposed to be single target.
Several weapons have blast radii, like the Rocket Launcher.
*However, our AOE damage is quite broken*
Grenades have a variety of abilities, depending on the type. But they run out real quick and the timer is annoying. They also lack punch.

need to decide what template to run with now.
was planning on master carb master commando 4-x-4-x scout. but now some people say bh goes quite well with commando... is that right? does it have the necessary specials to enhance our dmg enough?
ooh one other question sorry....
with things like the plasma flame thrower, whats the actual radius on the AOE they drop when you fire them. curious as to how far away i need to get the mob before i wont pull others.
