I think Rage could also work like this.

(Was gonna post earlier but power went out d'oh!)

Rage-10% Damage Bonus to all Attacks. Last 30 Seconds. Has Warm-Up. Granted at Novice.

Extreme Rage-25% Damage Bonus to all Attacks. Lasts 30 Seconds. Has Warm-Up. Granted at Master.




I like that, but I think it should be called "Retribution" or something like that. When you use the skill you should yell out "This is for the last 2 years of being a broken profession!" and then you demolish everyone.

Exactly!

I'd like to hear what the Devs say to this. I mean it would then at least somehow let us live up to our 5 Damage Rating without being Overpowered.

Yes a Rifleman with Commando will have the most powerful attacks in-game.

But shouldn't they? I mean together were suppose to be a 10 Damage Rating which is as high as you can get.

Dev Response-"This doesn't make to much sense. Sorry we can't accept Development ideas from the Community, unless they're just a brainstorm, that way we can implement it and claim it as our idea to the Boss. That's how I get raise. But right now it's more important to fix Jedi and keep them around since were payed depending on how much Subscription Money we get. So go Jedi. Will fix uh Commando with Smuggler.

But Commando's supposed to be a 5 on Offensive Power. Carbineer wasn't supposed to be the damage dealer, and making us equal to them, IMO, is settling for less on what Commando is supposed to do.

Just my opinion.

Its better than what we got now

Im all for specials however, since "rage" esque specials only *enhance* the core damage or defense that its being applied to. In its own, Duelist Stance...CoB...and a Rage are all utility specials, the defense modifier from the special enhances the tanking abilities of those respective professions, while our "rage" offensive modifier would increase our ability to actually do damage.

Its just like our weapons are "utility" but in a special ability sense. Now, if our weapons actually did something along the lines of rage, and we had specials...then we'd just be the equilvent of BH or a melee tanker, just for offense.

Thats why, in the end...sole utility falls flat on its face and doesn't do us any good. Not only due to the fact that other professions have a form of utility, but *our* form of utility is nearly impossible to balance because they're internally in our weapons, rather than an external tool. If our weapons were utility AND specials, then they couldnt be mixed with other professions' specials...which doomed us in the end to either being underpowered or overpowered.

We saw this end result in Alpha/Beta...the Devs said it would work. It hasn't yet.
