Thread: Immediate fixes that would make me not an angry customer

If you look at jedi to other players..they are rare...but many are hardcore players (some of whom are jerks as ive found out...this uncommon ive seen)


Also to mention, IF jedi were ever the focus....then their publishes wouldve been the FIRST. Which they were not...


Which brings us to this:


What reason do we see Publish 9 and 10?


Because the Jedi were broken..the ultimate end content of the game was broken..and getting there had become boring and stupid, not to mention game breaking. (hence their focus is somewhat on Content, for once here)


Atm yeah they're focusing on Jedi..so players after hard work wont get bitterly dissapointed and make the path there FUN.....and also looking out for the "ordinary" ppl who do not want jedi. Like any publish....this is really for the interests of us...not wholly the jedi (more so in Publish 10 however). [Focus is on playing styles here for many..and fun factor]


Since its game breaking, yeah atm its up on plate...doesnt mean the game revolves around jedi...it revolves around having fun...Jedi was an aspect of SW in SWG thats suppoused to be fun, but it was not. And since it affected US all...it had to be fixed first. However, the game revolves around Star Wars....which did not wholly revolve around Jedi (save for the movie..cuz the Jedi WERE involved with it...but look at the games/comics/books...SWG is as much EU as the movies)

Jedi is the Base of the game, and all things should go from there & whether that was their initial plan, or they just realized it no matter.


They've taken the past few months and the next few to finish working on the Jedi system to make it functional & somewhat fair to eachother (jedi) & to J-T-L as stated in the post by TH today. Stop your crying, you're not commando you're just a straight-up Jedi Basher and this post should be in the Jedi forums.


Commando will be the same untillthe release of JumpToLightspeed & that when the almighty expansion comes out the game will no doubt change drasticly, and like TH said they will have the whole team to work on combat which in my Opinion should come third in the line of priority


  1. Jedi.

  2. Space.

  3. GCW.

  4. NPC & Quest Based Content.

  5. Community Events.

on an entirely different note, I still see people complaining about the "Droid Invasion" because they miss understood & missed out on the Driod Invasions that happend all over the galaxie during these times ( it was really a test for the DEVs to release SuperBattleDriods into coronet & theed, not to revamp the Driod, which came later & was stated point by point & was delivered on time, bug free. Granted alot of the resorces hadn't spawned in months it still happend as they said. As a community I think we miss read alot of things and then someone starts something from nothing and you have 500 people raving and ranting because they didnt get their Driodekas.)


More simply put, dont believe much of anything that isnt straing from the horse's mouth.





Why should jedi have top priority? According to the continuity the devs keep trying to quote, while never really adhearing to, There simply shouldn't be many jedi. There were probably a total of 100 jedi at most during this period, almost all in hiding somewhere remote. Honestly, I think your priorities are skewed.

Well, look at it this way. Jedi had to be dealt with at some point, and they chose to do it now rather than later. We can argue all day about the merits/cons of this action, but that really wont get us anything except being frustrated with eachother, as I'd imagine that it's a bit late on the development schedule for the jedi revamp(s) to change any at this point.

I think he brought this here because he knows the people on this board. The Commando forum isn't just here to whine and complain about the HAR not working for a year, it's for the Commando community to be together.

I don't understand why they didn't make these simple changes long ago:

1) Reduce grenade HAM cost and increase range. Maybe increase the stack size to 10 also.

2) Make consumable heavies easier to craft and, therefore, cheaper to buy-they shouldn't cost so much if we're just going to lose our weapon completely in a few shots.

3) Even if the HAR remained a total clone of the FT, that's ok if it were effective-Return the DOT. Up the damage a little. Make the damned thing effective so we can use the dang thing.

4) Don't create so many creatures that are totally resistant to flame and acid. Of course, if the grenades worked and the big heavy consumables were reasonably priced I bet that wouldn't be such a big deal since we'd have some other options.

If commando had been given these simple fixes long ago, there wouldn't be near the outcry for improvement to the profession as there is now. We might be reasonably complacent, even.

no, jedi aren't the base of the game... this game is about the galactic civil war and the people fighting on either side that weren't in the movies.. if jedi were the base of the game it would be called Star Wars: Jedi Online, and jedi would be a character choice from the start... the GCW revamp should have been the primary concern, then the combat balance, then jedi, then space...

Rename cloning facilities and tanks to bacta tanks and ER facilities - it makes more sense by far.


Add dynamic sandcrwaler spawns to Tatooine.


Add at least three hours worth of new film music throughout the game, it's too quiet most of the time.
